At any rate, I can understand why those in that country would be invested in the marriage of member of their 'royal' family, but the interest past that escapes me. Perhaps it's an important country to this one.

Even if I lived there, why the hell would I care if a couple of people got married? Happens all the time. No one makes a big deal out of that.

"Royal" just means you're allowed to boss around whoever the hell you want and you have more money. Still doesn't make their wedding more interesting.
