[Sherlock's dealt with severed heads before. That's not particularly the shock. The fact that it's obviously Black Mask's is what catches his attention. Who the hell did the clown think he was, interfering like this-- Though Sherlock did feel revulsion at how the Joker was handling the head, underneath it he felt anger. He didn't like his cases having abrupt ends like this, not to mention he hadn't had the pleasure of stopping Sionis himself. Even then, Sherlock had no plans to kill him.
