Holiday Mini-Event

Dec 10, 2011 10:57

On Monday, December 12th, Northern Lattes will be promoting their Holiday-themed Drinks with free samples of their new sodas, cocoas, coffees, and other various drinks. Unfortunately, because these are just "tests" in the making, there's going to be quite a few side-effects of the many drinks they're offering.

Drink List and Effects:

The Grinch - A green, bubbly drink with the taste of apples. This drink will make you nasty, bitter, and all-around grouchy about anything and anyone.

Mrs. Claus - A cocoa mixed with eggnog. With this, you'll suddenly be compelled to run home and bake a ridiculous bunch of baked goods for anyone and everyone you know. And, of course, you'll want to try all of the sweets. Sweet tooth, anyone?

The Humbug - A curious concoction of various strong flavors, though some say it tastes like brandy. Whatever the case, you're suddenly seeing the ghosts of the past that won't seem to leave you alone. You'll see them out of the corners of your eyes, in everyone you meet, and in the darkest corners of your house.

Winter Wonderland - A blue drink with white foam on top, tasting of pine and has a cooling aftertaste. After just a few sips, you won't be able to stop yourself from being bubbly, happy, and full of joy. You'll want to do good deeds, hug small children, pet puppies... etc.

Heat Miser - Cinnamon Schnapps! This is the feel-good drink for adults. You'll want to go get cuddly by the fire and perhaps just shed a few layers...

Jack Frost - A sparkling cider with a chill! This will give you ice breath, unfortunately. Better be careful with who you kiss: you know what they say about licking a frozen flagpole...

Peppermint Kisses - A peppermint and cherry coffee (or cocoa) for the not-quite-adults. You'll find yourself falling head-over-heels with the person you came with (or the first person you see) and will want to shower them with love and affection in your own special way. Unfortunately, this drink doesn't suddenly turn people good, so the effects of this might be...well, wonky.

Sugarplum Fairy - Like its name, this drink has the taste of sugarplums and is perfect for the kids. It compels you to dance and...somehow, you're actually going to be pretty good at it! Just don't expect standing ovations when you prance into work.

The Nutcracker - A hazelnut coffee. Unfortunately, it comes with the side-effect of lockjaw and stiff joints. Good luck getting home!

Patridge in a Pear Tree - The mystery drink. While tasting of pear cider, it seemingly has no effect until you go outside. Birds will flock to your side in droves...not unlike Hitchcock's The Birds. Watch out!

The effects last up to 3 hours. Drinking one of the other drinks might cancel out the effect of the last one...or you might be stuck with two effects. That's up to your discretion.

Enjoy, everyone! Feel free to use this post as a plotting post. There will be an open log on Monday for everyone to tag around with.

Questions, comments, concerns? Go ahead and ask! This is mod-approved, btw.
