[Initially, Amy was hesitant to go-- but Maya seemed to have wanted to have her come. Well-- not as aggressively as Haruhi would have, but she decided that it couldn't be any harm. In any case, Miss Mayer had given her clothes for formal events. She decides to wear one of the dresses today, although she feels rather awkward in it, due to its lack of sleeves.

She'll just shuffle awkwardly to a table for now...]

[And she does look pretty. Re-l's glad she came; she's sprouting her wings a little, even if her father's still in prison. She goes over to the girl and gives her a slight smile in greeting.]

You look lovely tonight, Amy.

[When Re-l approaches, Amy nods in greeting-- she isn't sure if she could curtsey in this kind of dress. It's definitely different from the things she's worn so far.]

[She's also wearing the jewelry Re-l gave her.]

[She's glad, too, that they fit her very well. She had been afraid that she'd ordered a size too large or small.]

... this is a pleasant atmosphere. I think I am enjoying it.

I have been alright. Keeping my mind off things by fighting and working.

[She's surprised to see her.]

Mr. Larry. [She nods.] Thank you. You are looking dapper yourself.

Thank you very much! [He grins.] How've you been? It's been a while...

Yes... it has been a while. I trust that your art is doing well?

[He gives her a thumbs-up and his most winning smile.]

Yeah, sure is! Business is okay, and practice helps a lot.

I am glad things are working out for you. [She nods at him, in lieu of smiling.]

Me too. [Well, there were a few snags, but never mind.] How've you been?

I have been well. I have been considering finding a private tutor in lieu of a structured education.

A private tutor? Why not just go to one of the universities?
