Xalyein. Even if Clover wasn't paying attention to the news feed, she would have known the name from the whispers at school. It was the hottest rumor of the semester, so far, its popularity only bolstered by the lazy, cat-smug look on the faces of students who were absent for days in a row and came back looking like they'd just finished summer vacation. It was safe, they said, a nice, clean way to have fun.
Even so, Clover probably wouldn't have taken any if she hadn't been dared into it.
It had started out harmless enough: one, two, three of the bright green, mint-shaped pills downed to the hoots and cheers of her classmates. After that... well, after that, things started getting a little fuzzy. She'd been aware of pushing herself away from the desk, chair clattering to the floor, as a splitting headache seized her. She didn't know when or how she managed to get to her feet, but the next thing she knew was that she was running out the door (slamming her hand into the RED) and down the hall (half-breaking her wrist when she slammed it against the deactivation device to keep the bomb in her stomach from going off).
It wasn't until she was in the rain-slick streets, panting for breath and soaked to her skin, that the chaos in her head let up long enough for her to realize she had no idea where she was, and that she'd left her NV behind when she started to hallucinate. They were just hallucinations, weren't they? They had to be, even if they'd almost seemed real.
(Or maybe she was still stuck on a sinking ship and it was Siren's Port that had been just a dream, not reality.)
With shaking hands, she wiped the rain off her face with a sleeve, then began, painfully, to try and find her way home.
[ ooc; Clover's ability is
telepathic projection, and while she's drugged, she'll be projecting random pieces of her hallucinations at people she runs into. They'll mostly consist of actual in-game events from her canon.
For this log, you have the option of choosing whether or not your character can experience her hallucinations (regardless of whether or not she'd be able to use her telepathy on them under normal circumstances). The degree to which the hallucinations affect your character is up to you; whether they hear voices, see people, or actually experience what Clover's experiencing!
Please indicate around what time you'll be bumping into her and whether or not your character will experience Clover's hallucinations so I can write tags accordingly! She'll be wandering up until the middle of the night, so any post-siren shenanigans may involve monsters. By the time the drugs wear off completely, she'll be stuck in Sector 11. ]
