[ Bruce has spoken to this man the whole of once without his mask, and he really shouldn't have reason to approach him. But- it's odd, to see a man who had died in front of him and whose body he had burnt standing there, alive and breathing and well. Though, clearly, not entirely safe, given how much he's hogging the window- how much he's hogging an escape route.

He doesn't talk. Just walks over near him, leaning against the window, both shoulderblades against the wall. His injuries are hidden beneath the black dress shirt and grey slacks he's worn to the trial, and he glances over at Shikamaru for a long moment.

Alive. So the Core truly bring people back. It's- still difficult to grasp.

Bruce sips at the water. ]

[He doesn't know Bruce Wayne very well. More importantly, doesn't know what to expect from the guy. Maybe he's stalking around because he's curious, and seeing someone recently revived from the dead is a pretty cool freakshow. Or maybe there are less innocent reasons. All Shikamaru knows is he's being watched right now; it's uncomfortable.]

[ No, it doesn't take very long at all until he's spotted, isn't it? Bruce starts a little, smoothing himself out, slipping more fully into the Brucie Wayne persona - it'll definitely not do for him to slip. Not now. ]

Not much. [ Pause, and he laughs sheepishly. ] You just look really familiar for some reason, and I was trying to place you.

[ He straightens and steps forward. ]

[He stays parked right where he is on the ledge. It doesn't occur to him to offer his hand. Who would want to shake it?]

Have we? [ He lets his hand drop back to his side without taking offense, shoving it into a pocket. ]

[Of course that was it. And Bruce knew her gender, and it didn't seem like coincidence at the time. Bruce the stalker and Shikamaru the liar. He's still trying to figure out the aim of the game.]

[ And Bruce knows that's what Shikamaru is doing, and he's not saying it. It's not a game, not exactly. That would imply malicious intentions. ]

So why are you standing over here doing your best imitation of a potted plant?
