He's here not for support or to gawk - there's enough people for that. He's here simply because he needs to be. There's still the possibility of saboteurs, of AGI going to route that the Falcones and the Maroni did. Bruce had missed Harvey's big trial, and Harvey had gotten hurt. Broken down ( ... )

But he's good, and Phoenix has to try very hard to bite down on his "Yes!" and silence it underneath the other mutterings in the gallery when Shikamaru was allowed to step down. His heart is racing, one hand closed into a tight fist, but they're on good, solid ground after that testimony.
They're going to win. He knows it. ]
Come on. Hold it together just a little longer.

And he knows that if not for Wright's occupation as a defense lawyer- and a good one, given that he managed to wrangle an asylum stay for the Joker rather than going back to prison (which is frankly better, because he's heard whispers of SERO wanting the Joker to work for them instead--)- Wright would've been one of the lawyers cross-examining the witnesses.
So he leans back a little, and raises a hand to tuck his hair back- at the same time adjusting and lowering the volume of his earpiece. ]
You seem excited, Mr. Wright.

Oops--do I know you?
[Although he seems to know me. That shouldn't be that surprising, though, after all I'm on the NPP, and my name is in Re-l's leaflet. That said--]
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so rude. Phoenix Wright.
[He offers his hand.]

I've seen you around the network.
[ He takes the hand. ]
Bruce Wayne. I work with Re-l in the police office. [ That's probably the best way to introduce himself, nowadays that he can't exactly expect people to know his name the moment he said it.
(And really, it does give him a better reputation than he currently deserves. Mayer's reputation is stellar, and her judgment is trusted. That conversation with Armando proves it enough.) ]

[He smiles, shaking Bruce's hand and smiling genuinely. His optimism might not last, but since it's holding out for now he may as well make a good impression.]
It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Wayne. So you're a police officer?
[He's wary. Unsure.]

Oh, no, no, I can't fight in the slightest. [ So says the best martial artist in his world. ] I'm only an engineer, honest.
[ He pauses a little, then looks at the trial- and deliberately lets his smile widen further. ]
They're going to win, aren't they?

[Slipped his mind. He leans forward slightly.]
They're going to win. Well, this part of the trial, anyway. Seems to me like there'll have to be a continuation, but with a big thing like this that's not too surprising. They're playing themselves into a strong lead, anyway. Which is... Well, it makes everything that we've been through recently seem worth it. The lives that could be made better...
