Summary: June's been a busy month, and busier for some. It's time to chill out and relax at the beach in the company of good friends and better company. Stick around for the talent s how afterwards: there might be something worth watching.

Noonish - in the sand

[ Grell is engaged in the terribly serious occupation of chasing waves up and down the beach. He's looking for shells, of course. And periodically he dives into the waves. He leaps back out again instantly because Pacific Ocean = COLD!!!

Oh, and he's in a bikini. A red one. Of course! ]

[ William sits on a blanket, further up the beach from the water. He's got his swim trunks on... but they are covered up by his normal clothing. Well, not his suit, something a bit more casual, but still... why the heck did he even bring his swim suit? It was freezing out and he never actually had any intention of swimming.

So, he's just sitting there, shaking his head at Grell and going back to burying his face in a novel. ]

[ FWOOMP! Grell pounces on the unsuspecting William! ]

Silly man - what're you doing?

Come and play - the water's fine!

[ Grell's lips are blue! And it's only through sheer force of will that his teeth aren't chattering... ]

[pushesupglasses]

[ Just frowning up at him. ]

It is freezing out here. And you are shivering.

Am n-n-n-n-not!

[ Snuggles up against William anyway! ]

I'm surprised you agreed to come. But - it's silly to read, at the beach. You can do that anywhere.

Perhaps I should have stayed home and read, then.

[ He can feel how cold Grell is, just being pressed up to him. He forces Grell to sit up so he can grab another towel from their bag. ]

Here. Dry off.

[ He tosses the towel over Grell's head. ]

[ Takes the towel and dries off. It's quite an operation, given the length of Grell's hair! ]

Look. It's warming up already. Going to be a nice day, after all.

[ Indeed. The sun is already starting to burn through the thick fog. ]

I know. Let's build sand castles!

[pushesupglasses]

[ William frowns. But, building a sand castle was still a lot better than Grell dragging him off into the water. So he concedes. ]

Alright. I can't say I will be any good at it, though.

[deathknellgrell]

Hn~!

Doesn't matter. Sand castles are ephemeral, after all.

[ Scoops up a pile of sand and starts pushing it into place. ]

They'll be claimed at the next high tide.

[pushesupglasses]

[ Is busy attempting to dig a moat around the sand Grell piled up. ]

True. I won't try too hard then.

[ Lies! He's gonna make this the best sand castle ever! ]

[ Is starting to form spindly, high castle turrets. He glances over at William's progress. ]

A moat, hmmm~?

Got to keep the barbarians out!

[pushesupglasses]

Yes, what else would it be for?

[ Said oh so seriously!

Then, even more seriously:]

What are we naming our castle?

The South Cliff castle, of course!

[ Which is to say, the literal translation of "Sutcliff." ]

There's a beautiful princess trapped inside, poor dear. Waiting for a handsome prince to come and save her ♥

[ Grell is still piling up ramparts and turrets, dribbling wet sand, higher and ever more elaborate. ]

That is a good idea. Locking you up in a high tower.

[ Carves a small window at the top of the tower. ]

I suppose you at least deserve to have some sunlight, though.

OOooooOOoooh~! So cruel.

[ Leans back and watches William work ]

Of course, all the young men in the land are COMPETING for the chance to rescue her!
