June 15th - Maid Cafe - Open

[ And her third and final day of volunteering at the maid cafe. Actually it wasn't too bad- she'd definitely do so again. Just... not in this outfit. /s-sob. Still, she presents service with a smile! <3 ]

Sheila has, in fact, been hanging out on and off in various places in the Community Center - and alas has repeatedly missed Ella during her shifts. But they're here now!

She smiles as she approaches. "I offer'ed to baste Yako's skirt to her petticoat but I fear I cannot offer thee the same. How fareth thee, Ella?"

Ella smiled weakly at Sheila, glancing around to make sure Haruhi wasn't anywhere near. The last thing she needed was another ambush in this horrid costume.

"Truthfully I could be a lot worse off today. It wouldn't be so bad if people didn't stare." But ... there were also obvious reasons for the staring. "How about you?"

The coast seems pretty clear, at least from where Sheila's sitting.

"I am not surprised. Some do adore lusting after others with their eyes." She shrugs. "I have been an able assistant. I hath not had such practice with my needle in ages; it hath made my fingers a trifle sore.

Ella grinned, though the amusement was wry at beast. "Regrettably that's true. I think they came here only for that reason, for some, actually." It was disconcerting. A pause, and she held out a hand to take hold of Sheila's so she can see, "You haven't any blisters have you?"

She shakes her head. "They remind me of Ashley in some capacity." She frowns. "I didst tell thee that Ashley has departed?" She shakes her head and holds it out. "They are rather used to the constant work of mending."

"Ah, no you didn't... I'm sorry." Releasing Sheila's hand when she saw they were happily blister free, Ella pushed her hair behind her ear. "When did he leave?"

"'Twas sometime within the month of April," she declared. "I saw him 'pon occasion, but ne're in person." It takes a bit of bravery for her to conclude, "he didst leave his chainsword behind, so I do not believe he left willingly."

[For the last day, they'd had a surprisingly good turn out for the breakfast rush - so much so that Fai'd had to make two trips back to the bistro to make more dishes and teleport them back to the NCC.

Now, however, the initial rush was over and he had a few hours before the next one started for lunch, so once he'd managed a moment to himself, he'd teleported back to the bistro, unthinkingly arriving into the main dining area.

He blinked slowly, his vision blacking for a moment as that steady beat there in the back of his mind seemed to raise to a deafening roar. His steps faltered enough that his usual grace failed him as he listed sideways, caught himself on a stack of chairs.

He gave a slow shake of his head, messy blond locks flying, then cast the wall of windows a wary glance, golden eye bright before turning to head towards the kitchens.

He had work to do after all. His hunger was of no consequence.]

June 15th - Maid Cafe: Open!

[ With the maid cafe almost at its end, Sakura was relieved, but saddened of the approaching end. She had so much fun these past few days, and she just got into the hang of waking up and preparing for the work day. She felt it was going to be strange the next couple of days, waking up to the sirens, and not having to start baking all over again.

As sad as she was to see it go, she kept her spirits up. Fai and Sakura were going to start their own business soon. It was very exciting, and with the end of the maid cafe, they could focus their attention on fixing up their new place.

Sakura just wished there was more that she could do to help the NCC, especially with what happened to the bank. Today she is trying her best to be very helpful by just helping where she can. ]
