[ Technically on maid cafe duty, but she's over here at the moment, arranging the baked goods that have been donated for selling on the table. She's having a hard time not eating any of this stuff herself... In fact, anyone who's been watching her for a while will notice that she's already popped one or two brownies into her mouth already, though she looks immediately guilty afterwards.

No one can possibly understand how much self control she's exercising right now. No one. ]

[After a few days far, far away from this stupid place, Raven has come back, because she grits her teeth and fulfills agreements, damn it. She looks around very awkwardly -- who is that short Japanese girl yelling at all the other maids? better stay far away -- and stands in the corner, looking for Yako.

Finally, she spots her--and sheesh. What is she wearing?! Looks like a tractor trailer went through it--and moves to the bake sale end. Then she realizes why Yako's there--fidgeting and shooting glances at the brownies and all that.]

...Hey.

[ The immediate impulse is to scream, throw her hands up, and shout it wasn't me, even if the sticky evidence is all over her fingers. Her dress... is mostly whole, just looks like someone's had to take a needle and thread to it to put back the pieces that got cut out. It's a bit of a frankenstein dress, at this point.

Except... oh. It's just Raven, phew. ]

Hey, Raven! [ Conveniently, tucking her hands behind her back makes her look both sort-of demure and hides her chocolate-marked hands at the same time. ] You made it!

[Raven smiles a little at Yako. She can't quite help it, her appearance is -- pretty silly.]

Of course. I wouldn't have missed it for-- work, anyway. You look really good, albeit a little like Frankenstein's monster.

[She's never seen the movie, just read the book...

Anyway, she glances at the brownies herself.]

That stack's a little uneven...

[ And whose fault is that? ]

Haha ... er, thanks, I think. [ She laughs, sheepishly, only to choke half-way through when Raven points out the brownies. ]

Well, er, you know... people do buy things, you know.

[ MINE it's all my fault ;_; ]

I mean, you look nice in spite of it.

[Raven eyes her shrewdly.] Do people also take them as part of their organizational fees?

[ GUILTY AS CHARGED. ]

Well, we are paying the security in brownies... That includes you, by the way. [ TIME FOR A CHANGE OF TOPIC. ] I didn't end up seeing you on Wednesday-- riots keeping you busy, huh?

Oh, boy. You want to watch out for deflation in that currency, if you're the head banker.

[Raven nods.]

Yeah. I kind of got stuck in the city center. A lot of crazy stuff. Someone ripped my cloak.

[And that seems to be a huge crime in her eyes.]

Were you okay? I meant to call.

[ And a grin-- ] Hey, the less of them there are, the more people are going to value them, you know?

We've got someone who sews here, if you need that fixed. [ Nodding over at Sheila at her table. ] I was fine-- we got, um, a little unexpected help, that's all.

[She raises an eyebrow, the relatively playful attitude still present.]

That's how it's supposed to work, I guess -- even if that's not how it seems to work with you.

[She shrugs.] It's okay. I'll fix it myself later. I don't really like other people touching my cloaks.

[Now, a little suspiciously:] What kind of unexpected help...?

[Miss Hawthorne has been a very busy lady the past few days. Settling into her new apartment, getting some new clothes, buying ingredients for cookies and finding just the right poison to put in them- the usual.

She's gone through so much trouble, typing up a note from a 'secret admirer' to Maya, buying a brand new outfit complete with gloves, wide brim hat and sunglasses to disguise herself and of course making sure nothing could be traced back to her. It's a good plan, she's sure- an excellent way to get rid of the thorn in her side that is Maya Fey.

Dahlia is very careful about slipping her cookies onto the table, acting casual and as if she's just another volunteer dropping off baked goods to be sold. The only thing left to do is drop the unsealed envelope with Maya's name on it on top and...done.

Now all that's left to do it sit back and watch the fun. Maybe she'll even indulge a little and buy a brownie.]

[And there's Maya Fey, dressed as a maid and bustling all around. To be honest, she had missed being a waitress (not that she minded dressing up cutely)]

[Although, the food is catching her eye. She bumps into the table as she catches sight of a particularly delicious-looking cake. She's so caught up in it that she doesn't realize when a letter falls on the floor.]

That looks...!

[But then the cake's being taken away, oh no]

That's not for you, Maya. [ Though of course it's admittedly hypocritical of Yako to say that, when she's looking at the baked food which such obvious longing herself. She doesn't notice the letter that flutters to the floor.

Ah, now when did those cookies get there? She can't remember seeing someone bring them in. They certainly look tasty enough... but she has to focus on the bake sale! No time for that sort of wishful thinking. ... though she's unconsciously drifting close to the plate, just a bit. ]

That's just cruel, Yako! You can't deny a girl her sweets like tha--

[The cookies catch her attention too, at the same time as Yako (hivemind?) and she can't help but drift over, anyway]

Ooooh, these are for us, aren't they? A secret admirer must have left them! [And by "us" she means her.]
