Don't stop loving me. I can see it draining out of you. It's me, remember? It was a stupid thing to do and it meant nothing. If you love me enough, you'll forgive me.
the above quote is from the movie "closer" which i will one day get off my ass and see. but a buddy of mine wrote up a review/analysis

I think everyone deals with forgiveness differently based on their personality. I for one make people go through tons of trouble and great lengths over an extended period of time before they are forgiven...I don't forgive fully until trust is restored and that takes FOREVER with a suspicious mind like mine.
Of course that theory is pending on the fact that we are refferring to a transgression was something core-shaking like causing a breakup, not everyday like getting drunk and chewing the legs off my furniture.... LOL actually that's not very everyday and pretty funny. I think that is fairly revealing that I'd rather have someone eat my furniture than break up with me. wow.

though actually, i got really bored one day and looked at manolos? my god, the horror. i don't care how many hundred of dollars those puppies cost, they aren't going on MY feet. remember those anti-christ shoes we saw? yeah, these are similar. there's a pair with LEATHER and VELCRO and they are wrong in a number of ways.
for me, it depends on the incident and it depends on the person. if someone means the world to me, and they do something stupid, i'm much more likely to say "don't do it again" and get over it. if the same person were to do something MAJOR, i'd have to take it into consideration, like...whether or not i'm in a kind of place to place judgement. if it's something I'D expect forgiveness for, i'm much more likely to grant it.
what's funny is that now i have a mental picture of john gnawing on a table leg... ;-)

Darkness comes out on the 26th, too! If you haven't seen that one either, it's a must-see (although the end might drive you mad, hehe).
