Not just them. I think it is the two soups, gravy mix of choice which was often chicken gravy or country. Sometimes brown. But she'd add onion, garlic, sometimes a meat. She always took things and added to them.
I remember her pouring out jar spaghetti sauces and then adding more spices and meat. So my mom did shortcut cooking rather than from scratch though she could do that too.
Oh, I don't own a slow cooker *pouts* In my country, the big celebration is on Christmas Eve, when family and friends gather to have dinner. Presents should 'arrive' at midnight, but when there are children around, you can bet that Santa will be early :P
Christmas per se, is a day to recover from the awful amount of food and alcohol we had the night before *g*

Sorry you don't have a slow cooker. You might be able to modify it to a stove top. I'm not sure how you do that but it might be possible.
