Sacramento: K9 Police Dog Shot in Line of Duty

This was so upsetting to me. Honestly, I hate hearing that a police officer or a firefighter is injured in the line of duty but I have far more emotional reactions to animals being harmed. To hear that a Police Dog was shot persuing a suspect was upsetting and I didn't hear about it until days after

OMG Makes feel so sick when I hear about this. But so relieved that they were able to save Bodie! Hope he has a full recovery and a happy retired life.

It does. I was watching the news to learn about the Solar Eclipse and I heard about Bodie. I was so teary-eyed trying so hard not to cry.

I'm so happy that he's doing so well and I'm really happy that the outpouring of caring has turned into help with his medical bills because I'm sure that stations budget could use the help.

Poor thing! I'm glad he's going to be okay and hope he lives a happily retired life with his handler. It seems like they're very close.

Me too. K9 dogs are so brave and in this case they believe he saved his human partner. I'm very glad he'll be okay.

This really is sad but I can´t help to think how much of a hero that dog is, they really are men best friends indeed~
