Hahaha, that reminds me of when I was little and my parents limited my tv/internet. Only 1 hour of tv per day, excluding PBS (PBS was my saviour). Though they would do it more on a trust system, except for the internet that is, in that case they would check the router. My parents were just obviously way ahead of their times XD
