tbh, fixing half-life involves typing several words into a notepad doccument, and relinking it in your config file, I woulnd't call that work to be proud of.

Yeah, I know, it wasn't a hard thing, but it was something that had been bugging me for awhile (sometimes it'd work, sometimes it wouldn't), so I was glad to have it fixed.

Speaking of that, I've found a crackd version of steam that lets you download ALL the games, like, full version pretty much legit other then you can't play them on steam servers... YET

So, basically, stop fucking around with bad rips and help me figure out how to get this thing going, I've gotten it going as far as an update, and it says I have a bad config file, a guy at work told me about it though and says he's been doing it for awhile now

Steam-down? I installed that client, but it wasn't particularily working for me... I believe Valve found out about it and tried (or succeeded) to shut it down.

That bug sounds like a really major flaw. It's pretty ridiculous that they expect people to make their game playable themselves.

Don't know if that's a flaw in the real version, or simply the pirated one.

Either way, there's been patches since that would've fixed it.
