Ummmmm... there's a whole big field of Creationism that uses science to support creation. There's actually a lot of evidence.

Pretty much carbon dating is a really sketchy system that has a lot of flaws, I don't trust it.

PS also whether you're Christian or not you have to believe in the flood. It's been documented by too many cultures to ignore (Many people believe the Continental shelf was land before the flood).

Interesting stuff.

I didn't mean JUST carbon dating, there's definitely a lot of different dating systems we use for all sorts of different applications (depending on how old something is, as things decay at different rates and that sort of deal).

HALF-LIFE LOL

I really don't like the video for the reason he's clearly trying to convert instead of inform. Not a big fan of that, I guess.

Define "crucial" in the way you used it in this entry.

That post was crucial.

Our science and view of history is super flawed in my opinion. What I don't like is people like this who assume that the status quo being incorrect makes the Christian view true. Just because our ideas of evolution, earth science, and other things aren't perfect yet doesn't mean that Christianity is the only other option. That logic is ftl.

And tbh I believe in the flood, just not in the Christian view of it. Most ancient civilizations recorded a great flood of some kind though, whether in their religion or their folktales, or whatever.

Also tbh read about Ultima Thule and Atlantis stuff. I'm way into alternate views of pre-history. It's cool stuff and makes a lot of sense to me. Things like early crossings to the Americas by the Chinese, Europeans, and Egyptians well before the days of Colombus or Leif Eriksson are really interesting. There's also the idea of a Indo-European race or culture which spread civilization across the world. It's also really neat to see all the similarities in cultures and beliefs across the world before the arrival of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
