Cincinnati is weeeeeeeeeeeeird . . .

Is it just us or does EVERYTHING except the bars and pubs close after the lunch hour here in Cincinnati??? Do Cincinnatians NOT go out at night for dinner except to the pubs, or something? We were going through the CIM's Annual Dining Guide, which is a lot like our Metro or The Wave, and practically everything listed under the Central Cincinnati

That would drive me nuts!

Philly is a bit like that, in that except for the chain resturaunts and places like Borders, the center city area rolls back its sidewalks between 6 and 7pm, M-Saturday. Drives me nuts. There's a whole honkin' mall that is closed by 7pm! Even on Friday!! What the hell?? And grocery stores are hard to come by unless you're out of the downtown area. which boggles my mind even after living here for almost five years.
