Um, excuse my whilst I catch my breath and pick myself up off of the floor.

This rocks in so many ways that I won't even bother naming them all. Definitely one of my favorites that I've read from you. Who knew a story about a shared sleeping bag could turn out so dark and wrenching?

Emma could almost hear it purring, happy and content, while Jean shivered in misery and fear. Ouch. My heart.

I only know the outlines of X-Men, having picked up a graphic novel here and there, but this was very good. Such a complicated relationship, and, yes, much more interesting than Jean hating Emma because of Scott.

Thank you! It's my comicverse OTP because they just hate each other, and there is so much between them that never gets explored before Jean dies. I love the idea that Jean wants someone who won't forgive her for what she did as Dark Phoenix, and Emma *did* help Mastermind brainwasher her--Oh, I just love comics. ::giggles::
