"A cookie? You'd have to make them, you know, and I don't think we have enough ingredients left for that." Emma opened the cabinet and rooted around until she found the vanilla extract. She had no idea where to find this so-called cream of tartar. She peeked in Jean's head to find out.

LOL!

*dies* This was really funny and then really hot. I love the way you write them.

Hee, thanks! I had a really emo!ending, but I changed it. Let the poor girls actually maybe be OKAY with each other, for a little bit.

:D

Oh, and the "I wouldn't even need seven minutes" thing was just way too hot. *fans self*

That was totally my impetus for this story.

But now? I really want a cupcake. ::giggles::

Um. I like this.

It is total theory? That Emma Frost, Bitch-Goddess of the Universe? Is really not a terribly dominant person and covers it up all the time. And that THIS is one reason she likes Scott because he is, while a nice guy, still pretty damn dominant.

Um, just my theory . . .

Oh, that? Is totally my view on Emma, too. I think she can be dominant to some people, but Emma wants the people she can't do that to the most, y'know? And Jean is very dominant, and yeah, so is Scott, to me.

And thank you :)

Oooooh, this is lovely.

Jean's eyes narrowed. "Frost, I swear to God, no one has ever made me want to put them through a plate glass window just for fun as much as you do."

Yeah, that's way too much a description of most of the 'ships I like. Mmmmm.

Hee, Emma.

"I don't want you to help me," Jean said tightly, and she was beginning to loosen her shields, now; tight-edged energy, snaking out and brushing gently against Emma's awareness. // Emma hid her smug smile beneath the fall of her hair. "I know, darling. That's the only reason why I'm doing it.

Mmm, "Be a bit Machiavellian about this, Jean. I know you have it in you. No one else might believe it, but I do."

And the cookie bit :)

I don't actually buy Jean cheating on Scott, but leaving that aside the character interactions are very believable.

Jean's telekinesis good enough to smooth cracked eggs? Wow. Is this a Phoenix thing, or is Jean really that good and I hadn't realized that since I mainly know movieverse?

Yeah, she's pretty powerful in this era (Grant Morrison's New X-Men) and capable of putting things back together at the molecular level (aided in part, I'm sure, by the Phoenix. Her daughter, and current Phoenix-host, Rachel Grey can do this, too).

I don't actually buy Jean cheating on Scott

Actually, in this title? Jean asks Logan to sleep with her, and he's the one to refuse her. She and Scott are having serious marital issues at the time--it's really sort of a huge emotional mess! Reading all these issues requires lots of chocolate :)

Wow. (That'll teach me to read in canons I don't know -- or at least to make characterization judgements on said fics.)

Well, to be fair, one could always argue she wouldn't have gone through with it. ::G::

But really, it's all sorts of messed up, the personal lives of all these people at this time. Which would have been SO much better if Jean and Emma were sleeping together or if they were all sleeping together...okay, that's totally in my head ::G::
