I'm a sucker for Anita Blake/Buffy crossovers, especially ones that feature Edward. This was just lovely. I think you captured both characters really well. I loved Faith's almost carelessness, and Edward's stoic determination while he couldn't resist temptation. And the ending worked perfectly. They make a very interesting couple, even if one of them probably won't survive. Great fic! :-)

*glee* So I tracked this down because of that meme you just posted and Anita Blake/BtVS is such a great crossover (the only other one I've read involved lots of mocking Jean-Claude's fashion sense), and, wow, brilliant! I love Edward, and you've totally got his voice here. Also, that last line is perfect.

Seriously, I loved this. The pairing was genius -- of *course* Faith would remind Edward of Anita. The way she and Edward interacted, too, was perfect -- and I still can't get over your Edward-voice. It's the last line, and the line about Edward being the only one who comes out when he follows monsters into the darkness... *shivers*
