Oh, this was hot and sad and fucked up and hot. It was so painful to watch Audrey want Mike in DC1 and watch him be unable to respond to her -- that whole "Ravish me once or twice a week" scene, my heart just went out to her! And Mike's inability to respond to her just left her wide open for Ray's manipulations. And Mike is so jealous of her new guy in DC2, and even though I was like "Go Audrey!" re: her new guy, I was also like, Oh no! rebound dude=fail (which of course happened). But Mike is also strangely gentlemanly about the whole Audrey-got-a-new-man thing... like he's already given up. *frets* Now, if Mike hadn't been with Pen at that point, he could have stepped into the gap left by Audrey's departed doctor dude... but, sadly, he was with Pen (or she was with him). Anyway, at least your fic has them having great breakup sex. Am I the only one who found Mike's intense, hopeless jealousy in season 2 fairly hot, in an angsty way? I can picture him tormenting himself with memories of past great sex with Audrey (back before his ( ... )

Oh man, pretty much I find everything Mike *does* hot. And okay, only fictionally--I'd never put up with him IRL--but yeah, I get you, definitely.

And thanks! I can't tell from the end of season 2 if they're together or just friends, but it's nice to see. I wasn't necessarily a fan of Audrey in season 1 (I found her character sympathetic and well-written, just sort of annoying) but I really liked her in season 2 and hope to see more of her in the next one.
