SIONN. <33333333!

OMG PATRICK. AND SADIE. ♥ ♥ ♥

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH OKAY. I don't even care that it's sad, sad is good because this is so awesome, IDEK.

Apocalypse Tao! HEE. And Go Fish! ♥ Sadie, being all tough as nails but secretly really sad because she's Sadie. AND PATRICK. He's so lonely and sad and ahhhhh. *clings to him*

"Just--just the two of us. And I won't know what time it is, or when it's going to happen, and that way I won't--I won't have to say goodbye. To him. Because I--I just can't."
Okay, look, I just reread that part and now I'm maybe tearing up because I love them so much, okay?

But Sadie and Patrick! Of course they get along so well and hang out in a tea shop and djfalsdjflsadlsa;. And aww, the kiss was totally adorable, even with the rest of the fic being really sad.

THIS REALLY BROKE MY HEART AND I LOVE IT AND YOU ARE AWESOME <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

OKAY SEE YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW RELIEVED I AM. I was all, "Oh, I'll write her Last Night, with Sadie having coffee with Patrick on her way back through Toronto to Durham! That'll be cute.'

AND THEN YOU KNOW, KIND OF DEPRESSING. D:

Mike and Sadie's hockey game, can you imagine? They'd just trash-talk and skate around and hip-check each other and then it would all be over and WHY DID I HAVE TO EVER THINK THAT OMG SAD.

I am also glad you didn't mind that kissing scene--I'm aware that could be construed as skeezy, but Sadie wants to be a grown-up for a little bit before she goes back to being a daughter, and the image of her kissing Patrick in the mostly empty coffee shop wouldn't let go so I took a chance that you wouldn't mind and went for it.

I AM SORRY IT BROKE YOUR HEART BUT SO SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT OMG AND AM REALLY GOING TO WRITE YOU SOMETHING HAPPY WITH PORN PROMISE. <3!!!

Patrick breaks my heart here as surely as ever, and Sadie does a good job of helping the process along.

It's good to see them both with a temporary peace, however fragile.

This is really, really good. You've got both characters down perfectly. And their interaction is just -- note perfect. Yeah, it's depressing... but that's how it should be. I mean, a LN/DC xover -- how could it not have major darkness looming? But just like both LN and DC, it's occasionally shot through with sweetness and light. And I love how Mike's presence is there, even though she doesn't say much about him; their relationship and its weight is there, between the lines, in the things she doesn't say, in her cop-stare.

*hearts Patrick*
*and Sadie*

That's wonderfully dark and tender. Solid but fragile. Love it.

Thank you so much! Seriously, I'm weird, but Last Night freaks me out waaaaaaaaaaaay more than Durham County. ::giggles::

Very glad you enjoyed!

I'm possibly weird in the other direction: I love Last Night because it makes me think so much, but I don't find it has much affect. I can certainly see how you'd go from there to adapting Blindness for the screen.
