Love the pics, as always.

For the pics, do you light the undergrounds with lanterns, or use slave flashes?

Was that neg from a roll that was actually on you when you went for the big swim in Thunder Road? If so, and the film got wet, I wonder if there was something in all that foam that fucked with it; I haven't seen that much foam in there ever since we went back with you.

Yeah there was some in July, but now it's all gone now though. It's a shame you lost it.

"never allowed in" - surely you could have climbed in through the drains?

I really like the scotland shot - very atmospheric in the way that the coastline recedes into the distance...

Yeah. I always envisaged Scotland and Russia as being similar, kinda tundra-ish,very green yet sparse, in Scotlands case to the point where its all rolling hills covered in nothing but long grass. The land mass to the far left of the photo is the Isle of Arran.

Well, I suppose both are a northern country…so they are more alike to each other than to Australia but I think the similarities are very superficial. Yes, we do not have any of those rich emerald hues here in oz. But remember that Scotland is a sea-faring country with rough mountains always close-by, whilst Russia is largely continental, still close to its original forest-steppe state. I would imagine Scotland would have a very different ambience about it, both due to climate and the people that inhabit it.
