oooh, I *like* it. I most especially like the birds metaphor that winds through it, and how Jepha is so *logical*, taking Quinn to the hospital. Or at least trying. And then the calling MCR! I love the idea of them as The Used's emergency back-up grown-ups.

I was a little nervous about the birds, since they sort of worked their way in (as is per usual with me, birds everywhere, whee!) and then seemed like they could be pretentious-face if I wasn't careful. I like birds, though, that's basically their meaning. :D

The hospital! Okay, side note, I've always wondered why this doesn't happen more often in sex pollen fic. Probably because any band other than the Used would insist on staying in the hospital. Right. The Used, though, they go and then are like, "Never mind, screw your capitalist pigdog hospital system. Weed will TOTALLY fix a broken leg." And MCR is totally the group that everyone calls when they have a problem. They're almost all married! They should have the answers!

Um. Hee! Anyway, a) thank you for reading this, and for enjoying it, and for letting me know, and b) thanks for letting me blither back at you in my response. Even though you didn't have much of a choice, I suspect you'll just laugh at me, which I appreciate.

birds: ah, but they were so delightfully creepy and evocative! And accurate, the noises. That was what I liked best, being able to almost be there, smelling stinky boys and fans making birdnoises.

hospital: YES, so do I. It always, always trips me up, and I have to consciously suspend my disbelief. Always! Also, I thought the fleeing the hospital totally made sense, in that being there triggered all sorts of weird reactions from everyone (okay, Bert) and they were, I guess, retreating to a safe place.

jesus god, i know this was filled with burning hot porn, but my brain keeps looping back to the bit about brian. it's so deliciously hurty, like another hole that quinn needs filled. additionally, i find your jepha to be a complete doll, and all the bert/quinn bits are loving and nasty and succinct.

Dude. It's Brian, man, they mourn him a little bit. They miss him and Bob pretty hardcore, you know they do. But Jepha still talks to Bob, whereas Brian just had to break it off with them entirely. Ugh, it actually makes me sadface in real life, unfortunately.

I'm such a sucker for this band, really, because they're all such friends. They live together when they're not on tour! When they get together to write an album, they do sleepovers at Bert's place! I don't know, I just love that kind of affection. Adding sex to it just makes me a happy perv.
