I wrote this in one mad dash today, riffing off of a couple of things that have been pestering me lately; what came out was very much not the rom-com I hoped for, but rather a meta-ish piece on fanfiction and celebrity. I don't know if the things I was thinking about are clear at all, but that's posting off-the-cuff for you. I'm working on not

Oh, BERT. I'm really impressed by the style/language here, the way it feels like a conversation between the author and the reader, without feeling forced or self-conscious. And of course I love your Bert.

Oh, BERT is pretty much my default mode, so. :D

Thank you for the comment about the style and language -- I'm working on those lately, trying to poke my way through to some sort of idea about writing technique. It feels like slow going, though. :D
