I did the IBM 10K run on Sunday and decided that since I needed 2 hours of running to run from the house and then back again. I ended up at 1:48 at the end of the race, called it good, and got a ride home

I use just plain oats, add hot water (you can add some soy or milk too if you want), brown sugar for Siobhan, agave for me, and dried cranberries. Stir. It's super easy, good for you, and yummy too!
I think seeing an RD is huge--I saw a shrink actually for a lot of my weight loss but the RD helped me figure out how to maximize taste/intake for the lowest calories. I also am in love with her.
Eh, I'd say just quit soda altogether and drink tea. I had a friend who lost 70 lbs just cutting regular Dr. Pepper out of his diet(and really changing nothing else), so I kinda doubt regular soda is "better" for weight loss.
Yeah, I didn't think that made any sense either. There are a lot of calories in regular soda! I can't stand the taste of regular Coke though, tea or water for me. Or wine! :P
yay wine! good for heart health! okay, maybe not a bottle at a time, but...:P
the best thing I ever did for my weight was become a nurse. I swear, I must be walking 10 miles a shift or something. I don't eat particularly well and work is the only exercise I get and I've lost 15 lbs since I started working. Well, that and probably the stress. But I'd be scared to get a desk job after this:P

I always put dried cranberries in our oatmeal. Siobhan loves it too. :)
