I know. He's probably the only sane one in the band!

Touring VH without him is like leaving Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Steven at home and still calling it "Guns and Roses".

This one pains me a great deal.

I saw VH for the first time in 1978, and on every tour for every album (except for VH II) up to F.U.C.K. Five times with DLR. Three with Sammy. I've seen DLR solo, and I've seen Sammy solo. As far as VH goes, I'm firmly in the DLR camp, although Sammy kicks DLR's ass as a solo artist.

In particular, the Fair Warning tour stands out in my head. The Diver Down tour was fun too. But, a lot of water has passed under the bridge since those days. Alex is fried. Ed is beyond fried - a thirty day rehab stint may have dried him out and cleaned him up, but it won't change the fact that he's still an asshole. The 2004 tour bootlegs are harsh. To top it off, DLR is a parody of what he once was, and time has not been kind to him either.

I probably would be on-board though, if Mikey were included in this thing, because then it's a real reunion - but Wolfie, for fuck's sake?

I'm sitting this one out. Let me know how they sound.

I have to do it. I've never seen them together. My first concert was Dave on the Eat 'em and Smile Tour. I've seen him about 8 times, and VH about 5 times, but I have always dreamed of seeing them together. You're probably right though, you can't really go back. :/

Same here. I first saw Dave in Tennessee for Eat'em and Smile. I've seen Dave twice, Van Hagar once and Sammy solo twice. I love it all!
