"Hey, I'm pure!" Haha, yeah right.

Ohhhh that entire last scene was SO worth it...♥
ow, laughing hurts when I'm sick...

Also, how can he possibly think they'd believe he's pure when he then decides to tackle Baralai and violate his privacy to find out this simple question? Pure. Pah.

* * * * *

lol housewife Kenshin-- I now have to draw something to that effect.

I love how you captured his odd little verbal quirks♥

Tee hee.

* * * * *

“You bastard!”
“It’s Fuhrer now, FullMetal.”
“Fuhrer Bastard!” he amends without missing a beat. “What the hell was up with sending me on that stupid, infantile, moronic waste of time?!”
Roy ignores the question. “Rude as always. You should at least knock before entering the Fuhrer’s office.”
Egads, Roy's still expecting courtesy from Fullmetal? After all this time? Tsk tsk, Mustang.
(Also, I love "Fuhrer Bastard". Perfect Fullmetal.)♥ Ohhhh I love FMA... so much ( ... )

XD By lying and saying that he's pure, Gippal becomes just that little bit more corrupt every time. ♥

I can't really claim any credit for how I wrote Kenshin's verbal quirks - that was how they translated it back in the original dub. (Good times. Back on VHS. I suddenly feel old.)

XD Bleach isn't the problem - I actually know Bleach better than FMA! It's more that you've chosen minor characters. Don't worry, I'll get to it! Just maybe not in time for Christmas... ^_^;

Clearly. Only Gippal.♥

Haha, I know-- but nobody remembers that! I'm supposedly "not old enough"-- but ya know what, I like old anime so there. And I love how he talks-- it's cute.
And you know what some of the best things ever are still on VHS and never made it to DVD

...oh XD
I'm sorry, I don't think I'll ever really be able to stop that-- I just get attached to minor characters easily ^_^;;

I only read the Hikaru no Go fanfic, and it is interesting. And begs further development. Why is Sai haunting him?

Also, why is Akari in the scene with Nase and Waya? If I recall correctly (having only watched the anime), she's from Hikaru's school social circle, while Nase and Waya are from his Go Institute social circle - so how would they know each other?

That ficlet really needs more work than it got, I should have definitely chosen something simpler for the prompt fill! I was hoping to imply that it was Shuusaku's ghost haunting Hikaru using Sai's image - perhaps out of jealousy that Hikaru was chosen to continue on Sai's journey to the Hand of God instead of him. But reading it with fresher eyes, that's not clear at all.

Akari was loosely incorporated in Hikaru's Go social circle in canon - she's met Waya a couple of times, and Nase too if memory serves, it's been a while since I've read the manga or watched the anime. I may, of course, be heavily influenced by fandom which briefly popularised some Waya/Akari couplings as a result of those meetings and their mutual friendship with Hikaru. That part could easily be written with different characters, and maybe, for the sake of simplicity for a shortfic, should have been, but I honestly didn't think anyone would read that deeply into it. (Or indeed, that anyone other than the recipient would read it. XD)

Oh - yes, I didn't get it at all. Especially with Akari's comment about saying the ghost's name three times in the dark - Hikaru said Sai, after all, not Shuusaku.

I think I remember her meeting Waya, and talking to him, but not to Nase, though I haven't watched HnG for a long time either, so my memory's not that clear (but it might be said in the managa - I've only watched the anime, oops). Part of me still thought that Isumi or Fukui would have been more likely to be meeting up at the Go Institute in particular, but like you said, for the sake of simplicity... :p

I do so love your writing though! (Just found your LJ, so I'm going to look through for fics that aren't posted on ff.net. This is like a lovely Christmas present. And, ooh, Fifth-Act drabbles!)

Roy/Ed - The more things change. The more they say stay the same. I suspect Ed missed Roy as much as Roy missed him. It makes me what happened to Hawkeye and the rest of his gang in this universe.

Like always, you have a great command of the characters and a good sense of humour. Awesome.

I have been in the strangest moods when it comes to reading fic, these days, but I was craving something good and trolled through your journal and somehow missed this the first time round. *_* How. Have only read the fma one, and, nnngh it is adorable.

I love how, mellow? Is that the right word? Roy is. The melancholic atmosphere of the entire thing makes me appreciate it all the more. And how the tone brightens up a beat or two when Ed tackles through the scene. *_* I absolutely adore their banter. IT IS ALL TOO ENDEARING. The god statement, midlife crisis, the short joke because those are very rarely pulled off well these days with how often they appear. ♥ *_*

♥ Hooray for fic cravings! Tragically, I've only been craving fic for obscure or long dead fandoms lately, it is most disheartening. If only we could more accurately aim these odd fic reading moods.

Ha! There are probably way too many short jokes in fandom because it's a characteristic interaction everyone throws in to prove it's 'IC' (and I can't deny I didn't use it for the same reason!) ...That said, I'm glad it didn't turn out too lame.

Banter is fun to write. You could just write pages of it without any actual plot occuring sometimes, makes me wonder how the anime writers got anything done.
