PAX AUS 2013

So!  PAX AUS is a thing that happened.

I had not actually planned on to go to PAX AUS. Well, I did want to, but the tickets sold out five months in advance, which is something that has never happened to an Australian con ever, so I was left with nothing but jealous regret and focused my con hopes and energies elsewhere ( Read more... )

too much spare time, video games, convention, adventures, cosplay

Glad you had an awesome time, and all the cosplay looks great. I'm gearing up for Gen Con Indy and my costume is mostly complete. I just haven't found an ear ring I'm happy with for my Genesis costume. I know its a silly thing to be worried about but hey.

Aww, so glad to read that you had fun. I wish I'd gone! Everyone was talking about how awesome the con was.

Can't wait to see you at SMASH :)

Yes, less than two weeks now! (Should probably finish my cosplay...) Looking forward to seeing you again~

but a part of me is like 'you went to so much effort, why didn't you just do Iron Man?' Unless maybe he did do Iron Man and decided to recycle it? Hmm.

Had to snort at that. True. Unless he felt it wasn't suitable. And the next best thing is crossover!

Possibly! I could see how a crossover Ironman would be a more forgiving project, and there HAVE been a lot of Ironman cosplays already...

Every time I read this sort of entry from you I'm like, Damn, I need to try cosplay in Australia. It looks like so much fun (even if it's not really a cosplay-con ^^')

You should! Flights to Australia from Japan are super cheap and it's always awesome fun. (But surely cosplay is fun everywhere?! Well, from what you've said maybe the rules are a little strict in Japan.)

I know! I'm actually considering flying down for New Year's if I don't have to work. Don't know if it's a good idea to cosplay there during the Summer though... =P

Heh, it depends on the cosplay! It's great for all the stuff you'd otherwise freeze in. Depends what part of the country you're in too. Although New Year's is a bit of a dead zone for cons... The last one is in mid-November, and that's it until late February. Still, do come visit!
