This idea was a sudden plot bunny that I just had to give voice too...and oddly enough it just happened to fit the Cliche fic challenge. It was originally written solely for The Summer Fun one, so I was happy that I could get two birds with one stone. :D

I liked it!

I liked that Lex's amnesia seemed to stem from his soul needing a vacation from his life, his destiny and all of the people who wanted to hurt him. I don't blame him, I'd want to take off when Lionel showed up too.

I also liked that, even with the ring still on, Clark realizes that something is wrong with Lex. And that Lex recognizes Clark as a place of comfort, a safe haven.

I'd love to see what happens next but that's always the sign of a good story.

I am so glad that I was able to impart Lex's souls tiredness. All of the 2nd season I kept finding myself wondering when he was going to crack...so many bad things happening to the poor woobie *hugs lex*

And yay that for the Clark!comfort! I felt that was a huge thing, that even in forgetting everything he was, Lex would still always remember Clark :D I am a hopeless romantic that way.

*g* I don't know...I had actually planned more but my muse went it's own way and ended it there.

More is still deffinitly a possibility. I need to finish a few other things 1st though (like that dang iconography challange). But no worry, bribes certainly are not required, as I am sure my muse will eventually provide :D

Oooh, I really like the way you have Lex's continuing amnesia being a result of him needing a vacation from all the uncomfortable things that he doesn't want to remember, even though they're on the edge of his memory. And I love the hints you give of Lionel's reaction. This Lex is red!Clark's perfect partner, isn't he? You definitely leave us wanting more with this one.

I am glad that the 'vacation' angle on Lex's amnesia worked. I felt that it was something easly understood, with how crazy his life had been recently. Who could blame him for wanting a break right?

And the hints about Lionel, I just had to through those in there. Lex is so identifiable that I just couldn't see how he could go on this way without someone noticing, yet I could see Lionel hiding it, trying to use it ect..cause you know he is the MB :D

And you are completely right! For some reason redk!clark and this Lex do seem to fit. Both without worries, or cares both wanting a new life. It makes a twisted sense.
