Kaylee wasn't really the punctual sort, not unless a heist were directly involved, and she was a good few minutes late to meet Astrid. When she arrived though, she jogged up half-flushed and cheerful, a pair of shiny flashlights in hand and a bag full of sleep-over gear slung neatly over her shoulder.

She knew the viking girl was, well, a viking but that didn't stop her from starin just a bit as she came up. The fact that there was a very large, very real lookin' dragon right next to her...well...that certainly didn't dissuade Kaylee from gawking. (She did try to be somewhat polite about it...but she'd never seen a real dragon before.)

"Oh--sorry I'm late...uh...yeah." Kaylee stared at Blue for a good few seconds and then beamed back at Astrid. "Ya ready to investigate?"

"It's fine," Astrid shook her head. She had watched the other approach quietly, twirling the axe blade that rested behind her head. A nervous habit she wasn't sure where she had picked up, it probably just meant she hated sitting still. "I guess I'm ready. I-"

Blue had seemingly noticed that she was being stared at, as one eye had opened to peer right back at Kaylee. She let out a little huff of air, scorching some of the grass in front of her, and stood up as Astrid spoke. Before the viking girl could finish, the dragon was stomping past her. She came to a stop next to Kaylee, turning her head to the side to peer at her with one eye, face maybe a foot away from Kaylee's head.

"Blue! Stop that," Astrid hurried up to the side of her dragon and rubbed at her neck, trying to get her to back up.

Kaylee froze as the big blue dragon strolled up to her. She had no idea what to do, even as Astrid jogged up. It was making a little rolling sound and it was very large...but Kaylee couldn't help thinking of a large dog. She very much wanted to reach out and pet it...but even she didn't think that was a particularly grand idea.

"Hi, Blue," Kaylee said and blinked, wide-eyed.

"Blue, it's okay. Really." Well, even if Kaylee wasn't petting the dragon, Astrid was. She was scratching her gently on the neck even as she pulled on her saddle to get her to back up some. She glanced over at Kaylee and smiled faintly. "Sorry. She can tell when people are staring at her, I think. She likes the attention. Come on, Blue."

She tugged the dragon back to where they had been before, although it mostly went on its own...Astrid was not strong enough to move a dragon. Eventually she got her to lay back down. "Stay here. I'll be back in the morning. You can fly around some if you want but don't wander far!" Whether the dragon could understand her was debatable, but she usually listened.
