YOUR DOOR JUST GOT FUCKING KICKED IN.
This is some Hagrid-level door-wreckage, as it literally falls off its hinges and onto the ground. Standing in the frame is an armor-clad amazonian warrior of a woman, and man that slice of face through the visor doesn't look happy. She storms up to the desk and slams something on the table, sending a few water droplets spraying every-which direction.
It's a beer. It's a nice ice-cold beer, just begging to have a pair of lips wrap around it and chug the shit out of it. Samus leans back from the desk and places her now-free hand on her hip.
"Mission complete."

There is still quiet. The comic slides out of his hands. He glances to the beer.
"Shit," he finally says, not hiding his surprise. He didn't think she'd actually do it.
"So, uh. What kind of payment you want?"
Because shit like this probably doesn't come free.

She lets the silence linger as she takes a look around the shop. She hadn't noticed through the blind rage that comes with beer delivery, but it's a nice setup. The tools are practically rustic compared to what she was used to back home, but considering her options they could be useful enough.
"I want to use your shop."

Already this is sounding bad. This is his store damn it; sure, she got him a beer, and it it tastes amazing, cool. But who the hell did she think she was?
Scowling, Alejandro takes the beer and opens it with his mechanical right hand, peering up at her.
"What the fuck for?"

Logically assistance would speed up the process, allow him to achieve his goal far sooner... but this human. Shockwave wasn't even sure if this human was intelligent enough to do anything. The brief conversation they had, had did nothing to imply otherwise. Still an engineer, if good enough, would be quite useful.
He just had to remember what logic was dictating, and what Delta said. Get assistance... not at all because he requires some sort of companionship. Delta was wrong about the lonely part. Logically.
So he slips into the shop - knocking? As though he would obey the human's request and do such a thing - and makes his way over to the man at the desk.
"I ( ... )

He kind of reminds him of Stross a little. And that is bad.
"What can I say, polar bears shouldn't be in the fucking jungle. Can I help you, Stick-In-The-Ass?"
Reply
But polar bears are not at all why he's here, and not at all why he's forcing himself to listen to this human speak. He hasn't had to subject himself to such name calling for a while, and he hasn't exactly missed it.
"You did mention that I should stop by, did you not?" He tilts his head, a blank look on his face. "Or has all of your talent vanished since then?"

The mechanic snorts, folding his arms as he sits back and glares at Shockwave. Yeah, Alejandro did say that, but he didn't think the guy would actually show his damn face. What with being stuck-up as hell and all.
"Oh gosh, let me just get it out of my pocket." He reaches into his pocket, then claps his hands together. "BAM. My talent's back. Holy shit."
He shakes his head. "You gotta give me a job if you want me do anything with a machine. So whaddaya want?"

He's also been in and out of the Junkyard, looking for parts. The rift isn't going to take readings of itself, after all. Unfortunately, while he's sure the parts necessary are there, they're hard to find. So when he heard that a parts and repair shop was opening it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
It took him awhile to find the place, but now he's here, stepping into the shop and peering around. He's wearing his usual ridiculous get-up of a candy-stripe scarf and loud T-shirt. His clockwork cats are safely hidden in a plain cloth bag hanging from one shoulder.
"H-Hello? Uh--is it true I can buy parts here...?"
Reply
Eh. Maybe it's normal where he's from.
"That's the idea," he confirms. "What are you lookin' for?"
Reply
"Scanner parts. I'm trying to build something to take readings of the rift, and I've found some stuff just looking around in the junkyard, but some stuff is more specific, you know? Like, I'm probably gonna have to build my own microchips from scratch. So, I don't know if you have any microchips or motherboards I can cannibalize?"
Jin is walking around, taking a look at stuff on the shelves as he says this. He picks up piece of something he doesn't recognize and turns it over.
"And, I'm also gonna need radio parts. Those might be easier to find, I think."

The interior of the shop looks suspiciously like the interior of her apartment, though with a bit more breathing room...probably because customers don't much care for stacks of dual-intake line converters, and everything was just a twinge cleaner. In the grit and grime sense. The engineer who ran it must've been fussy bout things like that.
Speaking of the proprietor, he was a pretty big fella (nothing that surprising, considering he was an engineer) and currently loungin' about reading a comic. Kaylee got about halfway into a 'Hello, good-morning.' before she noticed that one of his arms was straight up mechanical and got immediately sidelined ( ... )

"It can do a lot more than that. Thing with arms like these, they're cheap to manufacture, but they break down easy enough where I'm from. Joints can get gummed up pretty good." He wiggles the fingers a little. "Get the right lining for the relay controller, and no interference. Had to manufacture a specific microfiber lining for it to work. Complete motor control, though."
A pause, then an admittance, "You really got a good eye for this."
Reply
Kaylee stood up straight and beamed at him before holding out a hand to shake.
"Just like new shinies is all," Kaylee answered cheerfully. "Kaylee Frye."
After an appropriate pause: "Couldn't hardly believe my eyes when I saw that posting bout a repair shop in my back yard. Been ta' the museum yet? Or tha' library? Got a great set of old-style thermal core containment generators on display in the museum lobby."
And now she was rambling. Probably because she was nervous. She shut up then and just settled for smiling.
