[The knock calls Flynn back to himself. It's not a program; he'd feel it. A guest who stayed the night?

He opens his eyes, but doesn't rise from where he's kneeling before a panoramic window that looks across the Zone, the forests of the bordering Garden Zone a welcome green in the morning light. It will take much more than a few months for Flynn to grow tired of greeting the sun.]

Come in.

[ Fenris just stared at the door knob, like it was the one that had addressed him. Flynn could not even be bothered to answer the door to his own room? Hand hovering over the handle, he considered Flynn's response. He was either being incredibly cautious or simply felt safe enough in his own home that last night's events affected him hardly at all. Fenris hummed, unable to not feel annoyed no matter which of the two were true.

But the invitation to enter was still explicit and Fenris had no intention of leaving now. He turned the handle and stepped into the threshold, his bare feet making his entrance no more louder than a ghosts. ]

I've come-

[ He had to force the next words out. ]

to apologize.

[Oh, well, that explains why Flynn didn't feel his visitor coming. He pushes himself to his feet in a motion that could be awkward but isn't, rendered almost graceful by long practice, and turns from the window to face his guest.]

I see. Have a seat. Are you feeling up to breakfast?

[He gestures at pair of armchairs, and pads over to sit in one, looking at Fenris with an expression of friendly expectancy.]

[ Fenris is content to first follow Flynn with his eyes before taking the man up on the first offer. He doesn't move a muscle until Flynn himself is seated, which he follow suit. Whether this was a hold over from his more subservient life or an actual attempt on Fenris's part not to offend was up in the air. Still he sank into the chair, leaning onto his knees, giving Flynn a neutral look. Still unsure what direction this conversation was going to lead them ]

I'm sorry? [ The second offer genuinely surprised him, it even showed. ] Ah- oh, no...no, thank you. I will not take up too much of your time.

[ He fell into a silence, avoid eye contact as his thoughts collected into a response. ]

It would be an understatement to say there have been a few misunderstandings. Entirely on my part, I should add.
