Cindy nodded once and then again, just to be extra sure that Jack saw her do it. She had her helmet on, so there was really no way he'd missed it, but that didn't occur to her. She didn't like doctors, but the ones that ran around the little sisters were always...nice.
Nice was a word for it.
Still, she had no fear of hospitals. Quite the contrary; she adored them. They were one of the few reliable, quiet places in Rapture. They were filled with non-violent (usually gibbering) splicers and sisters and brothers. This clinic wasn't a hospital...but it seemed a little like one, if she squinted.
So she did.
It was a good thing Jack was leading her by the hand.
Mordin was, of course, waiting. He'd prepared his instruments, checked over what little information he already had, and prepared his operating area. Now, to meet the patient. He glanced up from his work area as the pair entered the clinic and gave a curt nod.
Jack hadn't been expecting an alien. Perhaps he should have been, with the mention of 'Citadel Space.' He balked for only a second, and immediately came to accept the situation. If there was one thing he was good at, it was moving on.
"It's good to meet you, Doctor..." he realized then, that he hadn't even bothered to ask the other man his name in their brief conversation. "This is Cindy, yes," he patted her arm gently. Given their height difference, it was the only place that it made sense to pat.
Cindy flinched more at the prospect of talking than she did at seeing an alien. If she recognized his species at all, in fact, there was no reaction to betray it. As it was, Cindy peered at the Doctor through the window in her helmet and then finally did as Jack asked.
Doctors were...nice.
"...hello," Cindy said. Though her voice had been greatly improved after Jack's...healing of her more extreme characteristics, she still sounded more than a little bit inhuman and metallic.
