[Kanaya knows her stuff when it comes to gardening. You don't cultivate an entire oasis in a desert just by luck. It takes skill, perseverance, and an immunity to sunlight that is not afforded to most of your race. She would like to think that she could grow almost anything anywhere, which is why she had offered to help. Gardening was difficult to do in The Veil, at least to the scale she wanted to do it on.]
[Kanaya steps out of the teleporter calmly. Brushing off her skirt even though there is little likelihood of anything getting on it. She looks up and sees the waiting man. Person. Human. Maybe.
She isn't really sure what this thing is, but doubts he would ask her to grow help grow seeds if he meant her harm. He didn't seem that malicious on the network so she waves at him from a few steps away from the teleporter. Briefly, Kanaya ponders on their lack of gardening tools. She supposes they will have to find them later.]
[Pyro stares at her. She is so much... shorter... than he pictured. And grayer. And more horned. Still, he manages to smile and wave before trotting over.]
Are you... uh... [He realizes that he never asked for a name and chews on his cigarette for a moment.] ...here to garden?
[Kanaya tilts her head up, smelling the smoke coming off his cigarette even though she doesn't exactly know what it is. She can't quite place the smell, but it matters very little to her. It isn't unpleasant, and doesn't distract her in the least.] Yes. I'm here to assist you with growing the foliage you so desire. My name is Kanaya.
[She pauses briefly, as if thinking, and then adds more.]
Kanaya Maryam. May I bare witness to the minuscule seeds that will give way to the plant after a certain span of time has passed?
[Pyro blinks at her.] You're... really well spoken for someone so... [Young? Not human? Either way he fishes in his pockets rather than finishing the sentence.]
