Steve is already starting to regret this a little. Yes, he needed to get out. No, going by himself wasn't the best idea.

Still, he's starting to wish he had.

He ducks a branch as they move deeper, detangles his foot from a clump of vine, and says, "You can go back, you know."

It's not quite cross. But it's close.

Clint is more a fan of the "swatting branches away irritatedly" as he walks along, a foot or so behind Steve.

"At the rate we're going, I'd be better off just going through than back." This is his way of staying he doesn't give up, even if he's trekking through a jungle.

"This can't be the worst terrain you've navigated." Yes, he definitely sounds more cross than usual. He let's a branch go a little sooner than he should to avoid it, you know, swinging at Clint's head.

And since Clint is preoccupied with his audible complaining, that is exactly what it does, snapping back hard enough to smart. He doesn't comment, just shifts out of it's way and throws a dangerous glare Steve's way.

"Hardly. But just because it's not the worst doesn't mean it isn't annoying."
