Shockwave is clearly crazy. This is the only explanation for him finding Shockwave in the snow. Barricade rattles his plating to keep those said decorations off of him as he bends down to peer at the purple-haired human.

"Enjoying yourself?"

An unexpected sight, but a welcome one nonetheless. Shockwave smiles as best he can up at Barricade, giving the Decepticon a short nod.

"I am."

Yes indeed, he is enjoying himself. This kind of weather means that it is incredibly unlikely that he will end up overheating himself. Like a wonderful external cooling device.

Snow is perfect.

Even he has to get out every once in a while, cold or no. He just turns up his heater and throws on a scarf (if he feels like it). And limits it to short amounts of time when he can.

"Glad t'hear it. Sure you ain't gonna get cold or anything?"

Shockwave merely shakes his head, remaining firmly planted in the snow.

"I do not get cold."

Well that was not entirely true. He could get cold, but with his abilities and the way they affected his human body, it was rare and easily solved. It was far more likely for him to get too hot, than it was the opposite.

"Are you concerned?"

"Tend t'be. Most humans don't hold up well in cold f'r extended periods."

Or at the very least they don't like to. The weather had been nice enough when he was human that he never had any direct experience with it. He just recalls them being in a hurry getting from place to place when it's snowy.

"I am not what you would call normal, Barricade." He corrects, leaning back in the snow as though to prove a point.

"I thought you did not like this weather."

That had been the impression he had gotten at the very least. That and Barricade's kind of Cybertronians did not do well in cold, he had said so himself. Why stop by if that was the case? It seemed illogical.

"I realize. It's still a human body, regardless." Though he knows plenty about humanoids being a great deal more than human.

He shrugs one shoulder, letting the tires in his pauldrons roll a little. "I may not like it, but I c'n tolerate it. Still have to get out and get supplies."

Shockwave nods slowly, he has a point. His body is still human, and Barricade likely doesn't know much in how he functions. He has a logical reason for concern.

Very well.

"Point taken."

The scientist gets up, wandering over to the Decepticon's foot and plopping down on it.

"I could easily get supplies for you, if you would rather remain somewhere warm."

This is pretty much what Barricade does: be concerned for his smaller friends, regardless of their abilities, and generally with a decent reason. It's how he's built.

"I wouldn't do that t'you."

He shifts carefully to sit down with twitching the foot Shockwave is flopped on.

"Pretty sure you like this sorta weather, and I want you to enjoy it while it's here."

"I would not mind. I am out here anyway, may as well make myself useful."

It's a bit odd taking as many breaks as he does. Sure it's relaxing, but at times - not now of course - it can make him stressed and irritated. Thankfully the snow really takes away from such idle feelings.

Once Barricade sits, Shockwave scrambles his way up onto his lap, curling up and getting comfortable.

"Ain't that big of a deal, y'know. I've been in snow and cold f'r longer."

At the very least he has somewhere warm to hide now when he gets tired of the cold. That makes it tolerable enough.

Barricade chuckles low, flattening his plating down slightly to make that spot more comfortable.

"Better?"

"If you say so. The offer remains."

Should of course, at any point Barricade change his mind on the matter.

Shockwave snuggles in, as Barricade's plating flattens, giving the Decepticon a bit of smile.

"Unnecessary, but thank you."

"I'll keep it in mind. And appreciate the offer."

He's a stubborn mech, but if he decides to change his mind.

Barricade smiles right back, engine rumbling a low purr as Shockwave snuggled on his plating. Too cute.

"Just know my plating ain't the most comfortable in it's normal configuration."

"I do not mind." It's so much like home, he can't really bring himself to. It might not be the most comfortable, but it was still comforting.

No matter how jagged Barricade was.

"Certainly better than the plating one some mechs."

"Really? Figured you'd have a preference f'r the blockier or curvier configurations."

Most other mechs do, after all. Barricade's the sort that looks interesting but tends toward only getting regular physical contact with other Tyrans. Not that it has mattered overly much to him, in the past.

Well, if going by preference, Barricade was not exactly his type. Of course he was picky when it came to preferences in that area.

"Blockier, perhaps... However I do find your design quite interesting. And as I said, it is certainly better than some."

He was no Soundwave, but there wasn't really anything wrong with that. The Decepticon wasn't uncomfortable, and that was all that mattered.

In fact, he'll just stand up and hover to give Barricade a reassuring peck on the cheek.
