[Scott knows he can't beat the guy. The fort, alone, is pretty wicked. And Thom's got that fancy armour that Scott keeps wishing he could try out. But still. Red always was a good colour on Scott, and there's no harm in a snowball fight against a friendly. While he might regret this in the future, he always knows there's no time like the present.

At present, he's crouched down, some ways from Thom. He's at Thom's 3 o'clock, and he's hoping he isn't seen, Ironically, he's completely geared, with his carbine attached over his arm and head. No intents to use, of course, but the feeling of it at his back is somewhat satisfying and comfortable. He stuffs up some snow in his hands, slowly, quietly...then he lifts up a honeydew-sized ball in his red, icy hands.

Easy target, meet hard-packed snowball.]

Yep. That sure does smack him in the shoulder, splattering snow all over his blue shirt.

But, the wonderful thing about being, you know, a super-soldier with two decades of training under your barely-older-than-two-decades belt is that your combat reflexes are phenomenal.

He whirls to his right, tossing a snowball back and forth between his hands. That new LT, huh?]

Any last words, airman?

[prepare yourself for SNOWDOME. Which doesn't sound quite as epic as Thunderdome. But hey. He's trying.]

[OOC: MY BAD. It said "out of armour", not "out in armour" like I thought. Rewind, Scott's being a jerk, the snowball is totally baseball-sized. Assuming Thom's reaction is the same regardless, IC: Welp. The way Thom quickly moves to face him makes him realise yeeaaahh, not such a great idea. He's expecting a bad cold, lasting at least a week. But he's still going to try and see how far he can get before he gets frostbite.]

Only to remind you "all's fair in love and war," sir.

[Emile's only out of armor because Thom said so - and he was right, it would be an unfair advantage. Part of the point of a snowball fight (besides the obvious awesome tactical challenge) is that you're supposed to get snow all over. He is bundled up in a ski mask and a bright red scarf to mark his team, though, and he's built a fairly large wall for cover and set a red banner behind it.

What. It can be capture the flag snowball if he wants it to be.]

[A snowball fight sounded like fun. It falls under the category of things Leoben knows about but has never had the opportunity to try. He'd seen kids playing in the snow on colonies like Geminon, but he had been preoccupied with his mission. Not to mention it would have been weird had he joined in. This seemed like the perfect opportunity.

So he's allied himself with Red Team, and is currently packing snowballs. He's a bit underdressed for the event, not being one to notice the cold, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him.]

[To be honest, Thom had had Parker's full attention from the word snowball. When he'd suggested that someone create a purple team, her determination to get involved had only increased. Never mind waiting until more people showed up, or throwing her lot in with one of the existing teams and settling in in one of the impressive, already-built forts.

She's making her own.

She takes her time scouting out the existing fortifications and troops, taking stock of her opponents and potential allies, and retreats to begin construction on her own fort, between the red and blue bases and a few dozen yards back from them, so the three form a more-or-less equal triangle.]
