Raven had seen the girl around- glimpses of her, in passing, just enough to identify her now. This was the first time she'd seen the girl sitting still, though.

Raven herself had been staying out of the house when not sleeping or eating, for the most part; there was so much to see, and conversation with Charles, or Kurt, or god forbid, Logan tended to be strained at best, just now. She tried to keep her wanderings limited to the immediate area, though, when it became clear that disaster could strike at any moment.

She hesitated briefly, and then approached.

"You're- Eleanor, right? Charles mentioned you. I'm Mystique."

Eleanor looked up a second before Raven spoke, perhaps hearing the sound of her footsteps...Rapture had been nothing if not encouraging for Paranoia. After a second though, she nodded her head.

"Yes, I'm Eleanor." A tentative sort of smile was offered, and she reached up to brush her hair back behind her ear as she forced herself to stop tinkering with her helmet and just let it sit on her lap.

"Charles told me who was staying here but..." She gave a little shrug. "I've been keeping to myself rather a lot, I think. It's nice to meet you...Mystique." The name had her pause, if only because she hadn't meant anyone with anything similar before.

Raven nodded. "Nice to meet you, too."

She realized, belatedly, that she was still wearing a human form; part of her wanted to drop it, felt that she should drop it, but an older voice said that it was hardly fair to shift once the conversation had started. Hardly- polite.

Instead, she bit back several overly interrogative questions- who are you really, though? How do you know Charles?- and glanced at the helmet.

"What are you working on?"

Eleanor was rather oblivious to the questions Raven wanted to ask, although if their positions were reversed she would've wanted to ask the same things. And she probably would've bitten them back, too. At least at first. "Oh, uh...when I was staying out in..." Eleanor paused. 'In the Jungle' was going to make her seem a little bit crazy, but...what else could she say, really? "-In one of the garden zones I had it in a tree and it fell out during a little storm."

She turned the helmet over and pointed inside, where there was a little voice recorder hooked into a small tape system next to the large porthole that functioned as Eleanor's view when she had it on. It probably looked fifteen or twenty years of out date even for Raven's time frame, and both were half taken apart. There was even a little screwdriver resting in the bottom of the helmet where Eleanor had just dropped it.

"This got bumped and some of the stuff inside shifted. I'm just trying to get it all back together."
