DARWIN thereforeiham September 23 2011, 06:50:38 UTC
"Your mesh of DNA had always caught my eye, as soon as you merely existed in this station. It was more than my pleasure to bring you here. So here is what I will do. I will see what you're made of! I'll see what you're capable of withstanding. If you survive, you're free to go. How does that sound?"

Darwin is transported through AM's cyberspace to a room. Completely sealed with metal, with no doors or known exit. Only small vents and metal plating.

It's not impossible for him to adapt to his cage but this...

There's nothing here for him to change for. Nothing to grow plating to protect him or metal to absorb the heat of fire. Just an empty room, just his normal self. He looks around for something to talk at (to talk to), and finds nothing. There isn't any sort of way for him to escape either, looks like. He breathes deep before looking up at the ceiling.

"Not exactly sure I should take your word on that, seeing as you still haven't told me what happened to Alex. What happened to everyone else?"

Priorities, priorities.

There is cold silence in response to Darwin. Instead, plating in the ceiling open up, and abruptly dumping into the room towards him?

Acid. Just to see if he'll survive.

"You have the opportunity of a lifetime. All that suffering, all that pain... I'm going to give you a chance to make it all go away. I'm taking you back to the Ishimura, Isaac. And maybe you'll have the guts to make it up to Nicole."

Isaac is transported to the interior of the Ishimura. The medical deck.

Isaac never considered himself claustrophobic. He had plenty of experience climbing into tight spaces, vents especially as of the not far off past. He's had plenty of experience of being terrified while in tight spaces as well. But strapped to this chair was another story entirely. He couldn't move, not even a bit, not even to shift his head away from the needle as it came close to piercing through his eye.

He was helpless to listen to AM, everything he said bubbling up guilt, tight and hot and vile in his gut. He felt sick, he wanted to cry, because at the very least it was true. It was his fault.

And then the next minute, he finds himself back on the Ishimura. Terror grips him for a moment, freezing him in spot. He knew where he was; the layout of the Ishimura wasn't something easy for him to forget. He'd ventured to the medical bay twice now, but he'd never been-- never been able to find her body.

Nicole. He had to find her ( ... )

SKYFIRE thereforeiham September 23 2011, 06:54:06 UTC
"Poor Skyfire. You've just been ditched so often. By Starscream, by the Autobots, by Soundwave -- but you know what? I have a great deal for you. You'll have the chance to get both of them back, forever! You just have to do me a favor. Kill Shockwave."

Skyfire is place into a tundra-like wasteland, with a dome building not far away.

One minute he's clawing at the tank, everything burning. The nanites keep him just warm enough that the freezing water never gets past the painful stage or slips into numbness. The next he's deposited onto a permafrost ground.

He's freezing, still naked and wet from the tank. Skin is raw and waterlogged and his fingers are bleeding still from the loss of his nails (his escape attempts had turned desperate). Everything is blinding pain right now, his mind doesn't even register AM's words quite yet. The first thing on his mind is warm and dry.

He drags his tired, human body toward the building.

The doors slide open and the interior seems quite specific as to what it is. It's a base of some kind. Clearly for research. What kind of research? Perhaps Skyfire's explorations will define that.

But what Skyfire can notice is that the walls are explicitly embedded with the Decepticon symbol.

SARAH thereforeiham September 23 2011, 06:55:34 UTC
"You want your son back so bad? So be it. But I'm not going to make it easy on you, my dear. Your boy is in trouble. The hunt is on. Save him from the machines, if you can!"

Sarah is taken to a playground limited by high fences. Not far is a school. The door is open. Chances are, that's where she needs to go.

No. She's not doing this.

It's an illusion, she knows it is. It's a good one - she recognizes the school as one that John had attended for a short while, a month at the most, before she got paranoid that they'd be found, pulled him out and went on the road with him again. AM must have taken it directly from her brain, and the thought makes her absolutely sick.

But she won't let this get to her - she won't let the AI get to her. Her head is still throbbing from Ridley slamming her again and again into the ground, but that doesn't matter. She's not doing this, goddammit.

She looks up into the sky, and speaks as loudly and as steadily as she can make herself.

"Fuck you."

There is silence in mere response. AM is either not paying attention or he simply does not care.

But what Sarah will hear is what's in the school.

A scream. A boy's scream.

"Mom!"

She gasps, unable to stop herself, her head whipping towards the sound of the voice. It's not real - it's not real, she tells herself, it's a trick and an illusion and John isn't actually there.

But it's also her son's voice, and she hasn't heard it in over a year, and he's screaming. She finds herself stepping in the direction of the school, calling back before she can stop herself.

"John?"

SAMUS thereforeiham September 23 2011, 06:57:28 UTC
"I thought about making you relive their destruction, but why go through the typical route? So I decided to make it simple. I want to see you duke it out with not one, not two, but maybe... yes. Three Ridleys. Are they real? Oh, they're so very lifelike indeed... Have fun with a fight where there are no weapons!"

It's a single platform that Samus is taken to with lava in the background. And the platform is slowly turning.

There's a roar in the distance.

Despite the pain inside her, a mix of physical and mental so intertwined she couldn't know which sensation belonged to which, a flicker of flame burned in her soul. As she stood on the floating platform a single thought swirled in her head, not even a fully-formed thought but a single truth. An idea that somehow kept her on her feet. It was the same idea she felt on Zebes five years ago. It was a complex hatred and determination in her heart, but to those with a more colorful vocabulary than her it could be summed up quite easily.

Fuck. AI. You're not getting this ass today.

But with the roar in the distance and the feel of pure unfiltered heat on her skin, a reminder of her lack of armor, she couldn't help but feel another idea threatening to smother her drive.

Doubt.

From above, one Ridley swoops down towards Samus. The other two rise up below; hard to say if they came from the lava or where exactly, but all that matters is that they are making a fast approach to you, Samus.
