Waiting for Skyfire in Garden Zone 12 is AM's complex. Only, instead of an indestructible wall, there is an actual opening waiting for him. Wide open and taunting, like the gaping maw of a beast.
It's a clear trap.
But AM predicts that Skyfire will fall for it anyway out of a foolish notion of nobility. They always do.
Ted thought himself to be the gallant knight to rescue his princess. Skyfire will hardly be much different in the end.
No plan B. Shockwave would kill him, but that's all out the window now anyways. It's him for Gem. The choice is obvious. He doesn't have much to live for anyways. Sorrow will fade if he doesn't live, and if he does then he's going to make sure that AM is shredded painfully.
He emerges into a massive complex. It's... actually impressive, it dwarfs even him. The large pillar in the center he doesn't bother to read. He just goes about searching for a terminal to upload his half-finished malware protocol.
No doubt AM knows he's here already, so he has to hurry.
ISAAC CLARKEthereforeihamSeptember 18 2011, 05:44:24 UTC
This body is useful for this portion. There's truly no good way to lure out someone as socially damaged as Mr. Clarke; going after him personally is the best function.
He waits until he's 70% certain that the apartment has no other residents other than Isaac himself.
So he approaches the door and calmly knocks on Isaac's door.
AM you better have cake or he's not opening the door!!!stompitdeadSeptember 18 2011, 09:09:39 UTC
Isaac wasn't expecting any company. This isn't really unusual for him; it was fairly rare that he ever expected any. He preferred it that way, at least. He's never been the shining star example of social prowess, but all the shit with the Marker, EarthGov, Unitologists, and being betrayed has left him erring on the extreme side of caution. The less people he knows, the better, especially when they inevitably try and kill him.
So, needless to say, the knock comes as a surprise. Isaac gives the apartment a quick glance around, waiting for a moment until he was sure it was the door and not a noise from inside, and then reluctantly drags himself away from his tools and snacks to go answer the door. He's hesitant as he lays his hand on the panel, checking the peep hole first, then settles on opening the door.
BETTER THAN CAKE?stompitdeadSeptember 20 2011, 02:47:30 UTC
Isaac visibly hesitates. He's not sure who this person was at this door or how they knew who he was, and usually when that a combination it meant bad fucking news. It doesn't take long for him to mentally convince himself into relaxing, though-- he was just that gullible of sorts.
"--Yeah. That's me. I, uh--"
He's awkward, searching for the right thing to say.
"How do you know who I am?"
The better question would be, how does he know where he lives, but he's not thinking at the moment.
By this time Gem is barely able to stand, her circuity flickering wildly. She wonders if this is what it had felt like to be tortured by the MCP back in the early days of the Grid.
Shuddering, she looks up at AM. "...what. Just--tell me, please." Gem knows she is weak; she should fight it, not give in--but any small reprieve might be worth it.
SARAH CONNORdeadlyenforcerSeptember 19 2011, 03:50:11 UTC
Setting himself up in a position to watch his target's house had been an easy task. Ridley was a born hunter, keeping an eye on a few humans was an almost pathetically easy challenge. If he didn't know there was something considerably more enjoyable coming in the future, he'd be just a little irritated at this job that A.M had sent him on.
He hid in the shadows and watched the house. It didn't take him long to ascertain that about three people lived there, and which one it was that he needed. He could've smashed his way in at any time, devoured the other two and made off with the woman easily, but he admittedly didn't know what they were capable of, and he didn't want to risk having a crowd on him just yet

York and Tucker had gone out for supplies, taking Junior and Delta with them. Sarah had opted to stay behind; things had been tense between her and York since their discussion a few days earlier, and she desperately needed some time alone. To her credit, she'd managed to resist any snide remarks about how it was really better for her to stay safe at home when he'd asked if she wanted to come along.
She was sitting in the kitchen, practically the entire armory of the house spread out before her, methodically and a little sullenly cleaning and checking over them all.
When the crash came from the direction in the living room, Sarah swallowed a shriek, leaping to her feet, instantly on alert. Delta, still linked to the house network, immediately popped up his hologram next to her, jabbering something about how his sensors indicated that the integrity of an exterior wall had been compromised, and did she require assistance?
"I noticed," Sarah hissed under her breath, grabbing for the nearest weapon, fingers fumbling as she worked to

As he pulled himself into the house, knocking more of the wall out of the way by virtue of his sheer size, Ridley brought up his large snout, sniffing the air. He let out a low growl. The stench of Noradrenaline flooded his nostrils. He let out a roar just loud enough to let her know he was coming and stormed through the house trampling through the living room and eventually into the living room.
When he saw her, he couldn't help but feel that she looked less impressive than he had expected. At the least, he respected her quickness in putting together a means to defend herself.
He reared up, his heads and wings scraping against the ceiling, and roared again, significantly more loudly this time.
She managed to slam the pieces together and grab a clip off the counter, just barely getting it in when there was another crash and a loud roar. Her first, wild thought was that it was Red, back on the station but without her control chip this time.
And then the kitchen wall shuddered, and Sarah looked up, and up some more.
It was a fucking dragon, and it was roaring at her.
She gaped stupidly at it for a moment, and then took a deep breath in, expression hardening in determination as she brought the gun - York's assault rifle, bigger and more powerful than anything she owned - up and began firing, one shot after the next, directly at the thing's chest.

Dear Skyfire,
I have with me someone you may wish to rescue. It is not required if you do not care whether she lives or not.
Come alone, or I will kill her.
Yours truly,
AM

"If I may ask -- you are indeed the man known as Isaac Clarke?"
Oh, he knows that he has the right place. But a little taunt here and there for later never hurt.
