Preparing the ruse was hasty work, but Kanaya had all the right materials to do it, and Karkat wasn't going to be anywhere anytime soon

And here's the filthblood now. Looking quite dashing and also kind of weird. Karkat got tall, apparently. And there are other things that seem a bit off, but oh well. Mutants must be unpredictable like that. Ew.

The fact that this joke-blood asshole doesn't say a word is particularly strange, though, and even gives the Highblood pause for a second. Then he decides that Karkat must just be terrified. As he should be.

"Well well, motherfucker. DIDN'T MOTHERFUCKING THINK YOU'D SHOW UP."

Ugh, just looking at him makes the Highblood want to rip things apart with his bare hands. He can't even think of a good joke right now. Might as well get this over with.

He charges forward with lightning speed, swinging a club down at the mutant's shoulder.

"Karkat" drops the sickle instantly, knowing it won't do "him" any good if she doesn't know how to use it. Should have taken Karkat's strife specibus card with "him" when "he" left, but it didn't seem right to leave him completely defenseless. "He" kicks the away just in time to grab "his" wrist to brace it when "he" reaches up and grabs at the club to block the blow. Even with the bracing, "he" still feels something crack under the blow and "his" feet spread wider apart in the sand.

The fabric holds and the hood stays up, but one of the caps used to make the horns look like nubs shudders and tips to the side before falling into the sand. There are no Myrmidons to keep fooled on this battlefield, only "Karkat" and the Highblood. "He" glows a little brighter, and Gamzee should definitely be able to make out light yellow sclera and jade green pupils.

Kanaya speaks up, "I told you I would find you," and grins a little before she pivots and aims a kick at his stomach.

No, not the mutant. The jade blood. He can see her eyes now. The jade blood, all grown up and glowing with the powers of a rainbow drinker.

WHAT A TWIST!

The kick lands, knocking him back a few feet, but he's already wrenching the club out of her hands and swinging at the side of her head this time.

"The jade blood takes her moirail's place. ISN'T THAT SO MOTHERFUCKING SWEET. How can you all up and live with yourself?" He swings again. "HOW CAN YOU MOTHERFUCKING LIVE WITH YOURSELF. Knowing what your moirail is?"

He grins cruelly.

"BUT IF YOU MOTHERFUCKING WANT TO DIE FOR HIM. I can accommodate you, motherfucker."

Kanaya returns to him after several hours, mostly spent attempting to sleep, bleeding profusely and holding Karkat as close as she possibly could without it getting weird. She returns because Highblood or not, Gamzee is still her friend and letting him starve or dehydrate doesn't sit well with her.

So she brings food and a tarp just in case it suddenly rains in this Zone, sets it up by hammering nails into it and the rock face and setting the limp portions up on poles. Finally done, Kanaya turns to him (and yes she is a bruised from their fight) and puts her hands on her hips while she simply stares.

"Are you going to attempt to resist me on this?"

In Which the Highblood is a Petulant Child

The Highblood came to an hour or so ago and spent that hour struggling against the bonds. However, he aches something fierce, he's hungry and the knots are really quite good, so no luck there, though he has definitely scared away some wildlife with his yelling and dug deep tracks in the sand with his claws. By the time the Dolorosa I mean the jade blood shows up, he's as calm as a Highblood can be, which mostly means that he's just grinning and staring at her creepily while she works.

"You're a very stupid bitch, aren't you? STUPID MOTHERFUCKING BITCH. You know what I'm all gonna do to you when I get free? DO YOU WANT TO MOTHERFUCKING KNOW? Cause I'll fucking tell you. I'M GOING TO BREAK EVERY GODDAMN BONE IN YOUR BODY. One by motherfucking one. THEN I'LL RIP OUT YOUR CLAWS. One by motherfucking one. THEN I'LL PULL OFF YOUR HORNS AND USE THEM AS TINED EATING INSTRUMENTS TO EAT YOUR MOTHERFUCKING VASCULAR PUMP."

The Dolorosa Kanaya just stares at him for a while longer before walking back to a basket she brought. It's filled with food, mostly bread, fruit and rare meat. She picks up a slab of steak (stolen, obviously) and holds it near him. "As interesting as hearing my very unlikely death at you hands being narrated to me, I didn't come here to listen to you chatter, Gamzee. I'm here to make sure you don't die due to lack of nutritional substances."

"Oh shit, what's this? WHAT THE MOTHERFUCK EVEN IS THIS? The bitch is going to feed me? NOT MOTHERFUCKING SURE WHETHER I SHOULD BE PLEASED. Pleased or fucking enraged. I GUESS IT MOTHERFUCKING PUTS YOU IN YOUR PLACE AT LEAST."
