[The screen flashes on, and Peggy’s face appears, lips curled into a slight frown, but eyes alert. They flash down, as if she’s looking at the bracelet on her wrist, before coming back up, and then she barks out, as if giving an order:]

If anyone is even remotely familiar with the acronym “SSR,” I should like to speak with you immediately.

...Solid state relay?

[Look, he's a computer guy, okay?]

Solid state relay...? No, I'm referring to an organization.

Electronics switch. No moving parts.

[He shakes his head.]

Not ringing any bells otherwise, sorry.

[a nod, even if she doesn't really get it.]

That's quite all right. It's not exactly a household name.

[her face falters slightly at the namedrop; she's still getting used to him being alive.] I'm not surprised he did.

Thank you. It would be appreciated. I've gotten the tour, but it's good to hear it from the ground.

Mr. Stark being the one called Tony? [because she's pretty sure Howard isn't here and she doesn't recognize this woman.]

[a short nod.] I quite agree. Is there anything glaring you think I should be aware of right away?

Please pay attention, I will not be repeating myself.

[Hello. It's a twenty-something with a bored look on her face]

You have been dropped into an alternate dimension. There is very little evidence to suggest that you have been kidnapped. This is Sacrosanct, in orbit around the planet Asphodel, which is...not a particularly safe or habitable planet.

According to my observations, there are between seven and thirteen people aboard the station from either your universe or those closely resembling it.

Hypatia is the AI presenting herself as a hologram- the glowing, semi-transparent woman you might have seen. She's in charge of everything on the station. There's a resistance force on the planet but they seem pretty unreliable.

Also everything you say and do is being recorded. I think that covers the majority of the standard questions.

[Peggy listens patiently, and nods when the other finishes. Oh yes she got it all. The surveillance bit was of particular interest.]

That was quite helpful and greatly appreciated. You have my thanks.

Can I ask how you've obtained the information about--about those from my universe? If you cannot answer, I understand.

This network is public. Unless you're careful to encrypt or otherwise mask it, whatever's on here should be considered public knowledge. Hypatia can read it too; she's the one who set it up.

Since I don't keep regular hours, I can watch the network whenever I'm free. People fromt he same universe share vernacular, speech patterns, they ask similar questions. For example, you've been asking about the SSR. Others recently arrived have asked the same question.

It's not complicated. Particularly from your world, people don't seem to understand that "Everything's being recorded at all times" means everywhere and always.

Including what might otherwise be considered private communications.

Extreme surveillance. Contrary to what others from my... world may think, I won't dismiss your claim. Given the nature of these communication devices, it's not hard to see how the knowledge might be uncovered.

It's also good to know I'm not alone in asking about the SSR.

Again, you have my gratitude.

I got it! I finally remembered where I'd heard that acronym before!

You're more than invited to share.

SSR is a Submarine, right? I can't believe I was still carting around all this data.

[It has data on Swordfish-class submarines, but not enough on uniforms to tell where Peggy serves or enough on accents to realize that she's not American. Typical.]

Gosh, miss....are you in the Navy?

No, what I'm asking about is an organization.

I'm not in any Navy, but I am in the military. The SSR is my branch, so to speak.

Certainly are a lot of newcomers the past few days! Welcome, welcome, pretty lady! You're on a space station in another dimension, enjoy your stay!

I have tea, don't worry~

Tea isn't anywhere near the top of my priority list. But I had gathered being on a space station, as impossible as it seems.

Tea should always be near the top of everyone's priority list.

Well, good! You're handling it all better than most, anyway.

Not when there are more important things to worry about.

Falling apart in such a situation would hardly make it easier.
