[Compared to their previous encounter, Eliot looks the part of a harmless cardiologist-- give or take some muscle. His hair is pulled into a ponytail, his shirt is crisp and freshly ironed, and he has his glasses on.

From the intel Hardison had gathered, he knew that he was in dangerous waters. She was an unbridled merc with a twitchy trigger finger and a short fuse. She had also been a hell of a sparring partner.

Eliot opened with a smile.]

Well I did tell you I picked up mixed martial arts here and there, didn't I?

[He cleaned up convincingly, but she wasn't buying it. His poker face was better, though, she had no idea the amount of intel he'd amassed since their last meeting.]

What flavor is your special tasks training? Infiltration? Deflection? Assassination? Good old-fashioned guard duty?

[She was being rather conversational about this, considering.]

They must've stopped training medical professionals correctly by 2185.

[A cold sweat just ran down Hardison's spine and he has no idea why.]

[He didn't want to spill. Didn't matter. Shepard would get it out of him. Shepard smiled that same smile she'd shot him earlier, while they'd been jogging. It was one laced with equal amounts amusement and calculation. Given all that new, shiny intel of his, it was an easy expression to imagine on a woman interrogating someone.

Funny story, that...]

But alright, Doctor Pierce, you want to play this close to the vest, fine. Not much for talking over networks, myself, and I could use a drink.

You up for one or do I have to track you down?

[That sounded significantly less like flirtatious jesting, now, despite being in the same tone of voice.]
