Okay, this is how I explained it to somebody else.

[video on! it has a view of his (admittedly scarred up) hands. He makes a circle with his index fingers and thumbs.]

So, from your perspective, this is a circle, right? But the shape suggests it could also be a sphere, because our minds sort of automatically associate the two with each other.

So yeah, I mean, it's a cloud, all that scientific stuff. But that doesn't mean it can't suggest the existence of something else.
