Oh. I almost forgot to mention, the Stalemate was successfully negotiated and control of the life support systems restored to those with proper authorization. Our dear sister will not be making further trouble, if I have anything to say about it.

Spacing him is still the best option f'r everyone. Including him. Least then he wouldn't be used as everyone's dog because he's got issues and wants to atone.

Honestly. This is ridiculously simple and most'a you don't see the solution.

You sound very certain about what he would choose.

I'm pretty certain he'd choose t'go back to being the power supply of the people on that planet, trying to prove to them that synthetics are people too when they don't want to listen. Or trying to mediate here between people that don't want to listen.
Or tryin' to mediate between the people that won't listen on the planet and the people that won't listen on the station.

Blowing bubbles is not gonna knock down Stonehenge. And turning into Sisyphus ain't exactly gonna do anything about the facts that his Earth might be dead and he might be the only survivor.

Are you catching my drift?

His Earth is dead. He destroyed it.

And let me guess. He feels guilty for the destruction of Earth and wants to atone by helping and-or saving everyone else in this dimension?

You win a prize.

Don't know that I'm worthy of a prize for guessin' how stupid and over-dramatic people are, ma'am.

[Yes, he has the exact same problem in smaller scale. Shut up.]

Don't worry, there wasn't really a prize to give.

Over-dramatic or not, he's been very useful to me. I'd prefer if he would be a little less useful to everyone else, of course. A synthetic should have standards.

Mm. Unfortunately, when someone's useful t'one person, they're useful t'a lot of people. That's just how it is. And sometimes the object of everyone's attention doesn't get a choice who they're working for.

Are you speaking from experience, perhaps?

[BB| gurl...]

I might've known someone in a similar position.

And what did that individual choose to do?

Reply

hologram; namesnotprowl October 25 2011, 20:47:15 UTC
That individual ran out of choices. Then they ended up going elsewhere.

[Namely, here.]

Would you wish the same end on him? Tossed out an airlock?

Would you prefer him to explode? Or be a pawn in some war he's not rightly a part of? To be used by more... vicious things?

Sometimes, being tossed out an airlock's the better option.

hologram; ascens October 25 2011, 22:52:19 UTC
I am the more vicious thing.

And that is not the question I asked. Would you space the individual you spoke of? Would you execute the action with your own hands?
