The device has all the information needed to preform functions designated "jobs" for the station. This includes how to inform the station admin that you will be performing such functions. [Fine, you can have the pop-up, too, including the extra text he's written up on how the jobs (and credits) work.]

[ He's happy he's using text, rather than trying to talk into the communicator, since this way no one hears his unsure rumble as he looks over the job list. At least the extra text answers a few of his questions. ]

[Rinzler has half a mind to order the saarebas to communicate in speech for some reason but ignores the urge. He is quite content to speak even if his gravely voice and rumble does bother him anyone else.]

Very delicate pieces of computer consoles. Like very complex machinery. [Crude comparison in his opinion but he is aware that Ketojan probably doesn't have a single clue as to what Rinzler is talking about.]
