[Sitting back on his heels, hands loosely on his thighs. Ready to defend himself but looking relatively relaxed, if a bit cynical.]

[She walks toward him, and extends a hand downward to help him to his feet.]

C'mon, it's not safe here. You need to get underground, in case something else hits. If you've got any supplies in your own basement, they should be fine.

[He gets up without her help, pretty effortlessly. He is used to hunger, but that only means that he is also used to taking every chance to prevent himself from feeling it. He bows slightly, and it is hard to tell if it mocking or not.]

[It takes Shion a while longer than Nezumi to make his way out from under the rubble of what used to be the roof, but he's terribly difficult to miss once he does. Since, well, he's screaming Nezumi's name and digging through the remains of their former home until his hands are raw.]

[Nezumi had been digging around for Shion, but when he hears the other boy's voice, he doesn't run there at the same moment - since apparently he seems to be well. Or at least well enough to be yelling like that.

After having cleaned his hands and composing himself, he walks over towards Shion as quietly as possible. Maybe he can get close without the white-haired boy noticing...]
