Some will grow to hate themselves and some will become dead and numb inside. Some will lose hope and some will never dare to dream.
Author's Notes: The point that I hope to convey throughout this story is that true friendship (a bond of love and trust and faith) is so strong that it can withstand anything. That the bond of true friendship (even when you are pulled away from and forced to leave the ones you love) will always remain, even when you feel that all is lost, that bond still remains deep within you.

Chapter 6

Doojoon looked around at the faces of the ones he loved. He looked into each of their eyes and took in their determination, trust, and fear. He swallowed and cleared his throat as he put his phone back into his pocket.

“That was Minho. He said the crates just arrived.” He looked at the various weapons everyone was holding. “His uncle and his men are all together in the same place. It’s time.” He gripped the chain in his hand. “Remember, beat the shit out of them, maim them if you have too, but no killing, that’s not who we are.” His gripped tightened. “Let’s send out a message that the Yoon Gang is not to be crossed. Let’s show them what happens if they do.” Everyone nodded, their eyes glowing with eagerness. Doojoon smiled. “Let’s go.”

As he landed on the other side of the gate, Kikwang and Hyunseung inches behind him, his heartbeat quickened and his stomach clenched. He was nervous, worried, and he didn’t like it, not at all.

He led the way through the maze of crates and machines, his closest friends and allies right behind him, his heart race speeding up with every step. He rounded a crate and froze as soon as he heard a voice shouting out orders.  He looked behind him and motioned for everyone to move to the positions they had planned out earlier, this way they would have all the men surrounded.

Doojoon clenched the chain around his fist as tight as he could. He closed his eyes and took several deep breaths. He thought of the reasons why he was still alive, the reasons why he kept on going, kept on fighting. He pictured Kikwang and his constant smile and laughter and the way he was able to make you feel like you were a child again and that your world was carefree. He pictured Hyunseung, with that special glow in his eyes, and how he loved and cared with all his heart and soul and how he would fight for those he loved until his dying day. He pictured Yoseob and his loving eyes and smiles. He pictured the two of them making love, holding and loving one another, and Yoseob saying I love you over and over again.

Doojoon smiled, took a final calming breath, and stepped around the crate. His eyes hurriedly took in the scene in front of him, 15 men all together, 6 of them were opening up the two crates that had just been delivered while the others were standing in a circle around the crates. He took three quick steps, turned the man in front of him around, and threw the first punch, the sound of the chain around his knuckles hitting the mans nose the signal for the others to join the fight.

Hyunseung clenched the brass knuckles on his hands and charged the man in front of him. His right fist made contact with the mans jaw and immediately after his left fist made contact with his cheek. The man staggered backwards and Hyunseung punched him square in the face, the amount of blood gushing from the mans nose a sure sign that it was broken. As the man fell to his knees Hyunseung kicked him twice across the face, the final kick rendering the man unconscious.

Before Hyunseung could make another move, a fist collided with his right cheek, sending him backwards into the dirt. The man went to kick Hyunseung in the face, but Hyunseung’s reflexes were faster. He grabbed the mans foot just before it hit his face, kicked his left foot up into the man’s groin, and then kicked the other man’s leg out from under him. Hyunseung was on his feet just as the man hit the ground and before the other male could get up Hyunseung kicked him in the stomach and then three times in the face, once again the final kick rendering the man unconscious.

Hyunseung hurriedly looked around him. Doojoon was still fighting the man he began with, Siwon, Inati, and Changmin were all fighting separate men, Taecyeon and Chansung were fighting two rather large men, two men, one being Minho and the other he assumed was the uncle, were running upstairs into an office, and three men, plus the one at his feet, were unconscious on the ground.

Hyunseung didn’t see Kikwang or Jiyoon anywhere. He looked around again and just as he was about to panic he heard a scream and then Jiyoon came flying out from behind one of the crates. She landed on her back, dirt flying as she skid across the ground.

Hyunseung ran to her, his back to the crates, but before he could bend down to check on her, a body was thrown into his, sending him to the ground and knocking the air out of his lungs. He rolled onto his back, gasping for air, and before he could fully get a good amount of air into his lungs a giant of a man stepped in front of him. The giant grinned as he picked Hyunseung up by the throat, turned him around, and threw him into a crate. As he slid to the ground, his vision blurry and his breathing still not under control, Hyunseung watched as the giant punched Kikwang in the face, kneed him in the stomach, and then threw him at the same crate as himself.

As Kikwang landed in a heap on the ground, a faint He’s a big fucker escaping his lips before his eyes closed, the giant picked Jiyoon up by the throat, her feet kicking beneath her as he strangled her. Hyunseung adjusted his brass knuckles as he stood up and charged the giant. He jumped on the man’s back, his left arm circling the man’s throat while his right fist hit him in the face repeatedly. The giant dropped Jiyoon, her body limp and motionless on the ground, and began backing up until Hyunseung’s back was slammed into a crate.

Hyunseung wrapped his other arm around the man’s throat and squeezed as hard as he could while he was being repeatedly slammed into the crate. Though his vision was becoming slightly blurry, Hyunseung looked at what was going on in front of him. Doojoon, Chansung, Changmin, Inati, and Siwon were finishing off the remaining men, Kikwang was motionless a few feet away, and Taecyeon was carrying a limp Jiyoon away.

Hyunseung closed his eyes and just as he felt his grip loosening, and the giant easing up on the slamming, Doojoon appeared in front of them. The two of them looked each other in the eyes, both fully aware of the half dead Jiyoon and motionless Kikwang, and nodded their heads in silent agreement.  Hyunseung gathered his remaining strength and choked as hard as he could while Doojoon threw punch after punch, neither stopping until the man fell to the ground unconscious.

Just as Hyunseung stood up a loud yell and gunshot were heard.  Doojoon and Hyunseung turned around towards the office just in time to see Minho push his uncle down the stairs. As soon as the man landed at the bottom of the stairs he began crawling away as fast as he could. He stopped in front of Chansung’s feet and gripped onto his ankles.

“Help me he’s going to kill me.”

Chansung looked disgusted. He kicked the man in the chest. “You’re lucky I don’t.” He spat.

Minho walked up to his uncle, gun pointed at the back of the man’s head. “None of them will help you, you son of a bitch.” Minho’s eyes were dark and full of hate, his voice laced with venom. “They just took out all of your men. You went behind their backs. So why should they help you?” He put the gun closer to his uncle’s head.

“Minho.” Doojoon’s voice was calm. “Think about this for a minute.”

“There’s nothing to think about. He’s a liar, a thief, a murderer, and a sick sadistic bastard. He deserves to die.”

Doojoon stepped closer. “That’s all true, but you don’t…” A snicker cut off his words.

“You see you little shit!” Minho’s uncle gave a laugh. “They will help me. They’ll help me because they aren’t murderers. They don’t kill people.” He laughed some more.

Minho cocked the gun. “They may not be, but I am.” He pulled the trigger, blood spattering all over his and Chansung’s clothes. Minho lowered the gun as his uncle’s body fell to the ground.

No one moved or said a word for several seconds until Chansung came out of his state of shock.

“Shit!” He stepped back. “Fuck! Holy shit!” He turned to Doojoon. “What the fuck do we do?!”

Doojoon looked back at Kikwang’s still motionless body and made a move for him, but Hyunseung stopped him.

“Go deal with the kid and the body and I’ll take care of Kikwang.” Doojoon hesitated for a second before nodding his head and moving to take the gun from Minho.

Hyunseung ran over to Kikwang, knelt down, and turned him over so he was on his side, his back against the crate. Hyunseung’s breath caught in his throat as he looked at the blood coming from Kikwang’s head, nose, and mouth. He ran his hand across the side of Kikwang’s face, through his hair, and stopped on the back of Kikwang’s neck. “Kikwang.” He squeezed the back of Kikwang’s neck a little. “Kikwang.” There was no sign of movement. He squeezed a little harder. “Kikwang!” When he didn’t receive any response he began to panic. He put both of his hands on Kikwang’s cheeks. “Kikwang!” He shook Kikwang’s face. “Kikwang wake up! Kikwang!”

Hyunseung felt tears fall from his eyes and he choked back a sob. He shook Kikwang harder this time. “Kikwang! Fucking wake up!” He put his forehead against Kikwang’s and let the sob out. “Kiki please! Please you have to wake up! Please Kiki!” He let out another sob, his tears falling onto Kikwang’s face. Hyunseung shook Kikwang as hard as he could. “KIKWANG! WAKE UP!”

Just as Hyunseung started shaking Kikwang even more, Doojoon fell to the ground next to him, while the others stood around them.

“Fuck!” Doojoon chocked back a sob as he ran his hands through his hair. “FUCK!”

Hyunseung shook his head. “No…no…NO! This isn’t happening!” He slapped Kikwang across the face. “Wake up Kiki! Wake up!” He slapped him again. “Kikwang WAKE UP!”

Doojoon grabbed Hyunseung’s wrist just as he was about to slap Kikwang again. And just as Hyunseung was about to yell, a pair of eyes fluttered open.

“Seungie?” Kikwang’s voice was barely above a whisper.

Hyunseung was sure his heart stopped. He let out another sob that sounded a lot like fuck and then bent over and kissed Kikwang on the lips. When he pulled back Kikwang had a small smile on his face. “I knew you loved me.”

Hyunseung let out another sob as he pulled Kikwang into a fierce embrace, followed by Doojoon pulling them both into his arms, his own tears silently falling. The group of men stood there, silently thanking whomever it was they could thank that Kikwang was alive, none of them noticing two bodies running away as fast as they could.

~*~*~*~*~
Minho and Shindong entered the warehouse, Shindong limping, bleeding, and hanging off of Minho.

“What the fuck?!” Kangin took Shindong from Minho and led him over to a chair. He barked at someone to get him some rags and water and turned his attention to Minho. “Care to explain?”

Minho shrugged his shoulders. “He got the shit kicked out of him.”

Shindong glared. “Shut the fuck up! I didn’t see you trying to do anything to help!”
“My job was to deceive Yoon and his men, not to protect your sorry worthless ass.”

Shindong stood up and went to grab for Minho, but Kangin blocked him.

“Sit down before you bleed all over the place.” Rain ordered as he walked down the stairs from his office. “I see Yoon went through with his plan to stop the crates from being smuggled in.” He walked up to Minho. “Well done kid.”

Minho smiled. “Thank you Sir.”

“And your uncle, how did he fair in this fight?” Rain looked down at the blood on Minho’s clothes.

Minho smirked. “He didn’t.”

“Excellent.” Rain sat in a chair opposite of Shindong. “So, which one got you?”

Shindong spit blood out of his mouth into the garbage can next to him. “The pretty one, the one with the eyes.”

Rain tensed slightly. “Hyunseung kicked your ass?”

Shindong shrugged his shoulders.

Minho rolled his eyes. “Yes it was Hyunseung. He was the best fighter there, I dare say even better than Yoon.” Minho was quiet for a moment. “He took out Shindong before Shindong could get one hit in. He beat another one with only taking one hit. And the strength he had when he took on Kan, the giant, was quite impressive.”

Rain shook his head in understanding. It would seem that Hyunseung, his fighting princess, or so Rain liked to call him when he was a part of the Yoon gang, had gotten stronger. He could use someone like Hyunseung on his side, someone strong, angry, and loyal. Rain would admit to no weakness, save for one, and that one weakness he would only admit to himself, his weakness for Jang Hyunseung.

Ever since he had first met the man who was more beautiful than any woman, Rain had become obsessed. He would make sure that he and Hyunseung were paired up for assignments together, he would always find an excuse to be in the same place as the other, and he would always find ways to touch Hyunseung, whether appropriate or not. And Hyunseung never asked questions, never pushed Rain away, never stopped him. So the night Rain decided to take things further it came as a shock to him when Hyunseung yelled at him to stop and began to fight him.

But Rain’s obsession for Hyunseung wouldn’t allow him to stop. He was stronger and bigger than Hyunseung and it was easy for him to take complete control. His mind was so consumed with the half naked, screaming body beneath him that he didn’t stop to think about the others in the house, that is until he was grabbed by the back of the throat, punched in the face, and thrown against a wall. Rain had the shit kicked out of him and then was thrown out of the house and out of the gang. Doojoon had warned him that if he ever came around anyone in his family again that Doojoon himself would kill him. That had been 3 ½ years ago, and though he had realized that yes that wasn’t the smartest of moves, he was still bitter, angry, and resentful.

He was the strongest and most feared member of the Yoon gang, everyone knew that, but he made one mistake, one fucking mistake, and everything he had was taken from him. He had spent a year drinking, fighting, shooting up, and fucking whomever he could. Until one night he had the shit kicked out of him so badly that he ended up in the hospital for a week. It was then that he realized that he had grown weak and it was all because of Yoon Doojoon. Rain had vowed then and there that he would do everything he had to in order to take out Yoon and his gang and take all the power for himself. And it wasn’t until he found out about the intermingling of the Yoon and Yong gangs that he decided that he could take out both and rule completely.

Rain stood up from his chair and headed back towards the staircase. His mind was clouded with anger and frustration and he needed some alone time to formulate some new plans. He was quickly losing his patience, he was ready to destroy the two gangs now and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could wait.

~*~*~*~*~
Yoseob climbed through the window just as Doojoon walked through the door. All it took was one look at the bruised and bloody Doojoon for Yoseob to break down. He let his tears fall and he didn’t hold back his sobs. He buried his face in his hands just as Doojoon’s arms wrapped around him. Yoseob buried his face in Doojoon’s chest, letting his sobs take over.

Doojoon held Yoseob close. “Shhh Love, I’m okay, everyone is alive.” He kissed Yoseob’s temple and held him tighter until he could feel the sobs subsiding.

When Yoseob sniffled, Doojoon put his hands on either side of Yoseob’s face and made him look up at him. He gave a small reassuring smile. Yoseob smiled back. And then their lips met in a kiss that held every ounce of love that they had for one another. Yoseob didn’t care about the taste of blood or dirt or sweat. All he cared about was that the man he loved more than life itself was safe and in his arms.

When they pulled apart, Yoseob pulled Doojoon’s forehead against his own. “I love you Yoon Doojoon.”

“And I love you Yang Yoseob.”

Yoseob smiled, grabbed Doojoon’s hands, and walked backwards towards the bathroom.

“Let’s get you into the shower and cleaned up.”

Doojoon smiled as he was led into the bathroom, his shoes and shirt off before he even reached there.

~*~*~*~*~
Dongwoon poked his head in through the door and locked eyes with Chansung. He walked fully into the room and stopped a few feet away from the bed holding a sleeping Kikwang, his eyes never leaving Chansung’s.

Chansung stood up from the chair he was seated in and walked around the bed towards Dongwoon.

“You look like shit Chan.”

Chansung gave a soft smile. “I feel like shit.” He pulled Dongwoon into a hug. “It’s good to see you Woon.”

It was Dongwoon’s turn to smile. “You too.”

They separated and Dongwoon turned his attention to Kikwang. “How is he?”

Chansung ran his hand through his hair. “Lucky as fuck. He has ten stitches on his forehead and the back of his head, three on his nose, and four on his left cheek. He has four bruised ribs, several large bruises on his back, and a sprained wrist.” He was quiet for a minute. “When he didn’t come too I thought…I swear I thought he was…”

Dongwoon squeezed Chansung’s shoulder. “I know.” He kept his eyes on Kikwang. “How’s Jiyoon?”

Chansung shook his head. “Not as lucky, but lucky still. She had stopped breathing by the time Teac got her here and her heart was barely beating.” He took a deep breath. “They were able to revive her pretty quickly, but she still hasn’t woken up yet. Taec hasn’t, wont, leave her side.” He sighed. “I’m worried about him.”

“Go be with him then. He needs his best friend right now. I’ll stay with Kiki.”

“Thanks Woon.” Chansung grabbed his jacket and headed for the door, stopping to turn around just as he opened it. “It really is good to see you.” He smiled and walked out, shutting the door behind him.

Dongwoon walked over to the bed and sat down. He used the back of his hand to gently stroke the side of Kikwang’s face, his fingers gliding smoothly over stitches and bruises. His hand came to a stop just as Kikwang’s eyes fluttered open.

“You came.” His voice and smile were soft and weak.

Dongwoon smiled softly, fondly, at him. “Of course I did.”

Kikwang rested his hand atop the one Dongwoon had on his cheek. “I’m glad you did.”

Dongwoon bent down and gently rested his forehead against Kikwang’s. “When Chansung called me and told me what happened I couldn’t…I thought…” He closed his eyes trying to chase away the thoughts that plagued him when he got that call.

Kikwang placed both his hands on Dongwoon’s cheeks. “It’s okay Woonie. I’m okay.” He wiped away the few tears falling down Dongwoon’s cheek. “Look at me.”

Dongwoon opened his eyes and was met with the loving gaze he used to receive daily, the gaze he thought he would never see again. He closed the distance between their lips and kissed Kikwang gently, lovingly. When they separated they were both smiling.

“I love you too Woonie.” He moved over so Dongwoon could lie down beside him.

Dongwoon pulled Kikwang close, the latter resting his head on a strong and loving chest. The two closed their eyes relishing in the warmth and love the other provided.

~*~*~*~*~
Junhyung woke up to an arm wrapping around his waist and a body snuggling closer to his. He wrapped an arm around Hyunseung and rested the other behind his head. He listened to Hyunseung’s soft breathing and felt the rise and fall of his chest against his own. He thought back to the early morning when Hyunseung had come into the room, blood on his clothes, hands, and face…

Junhyung panicked, immediately thinking that the blood was Hyunseung’s. He grabbed Hyunseung by the shoulders, asked where he was hurt, and began searching his body for wounds.

Hyunseung grabbed Junhyung’s hands, stopping his frantic search. “It’s not my blood. It belongs to the men I fought a-and…” His voice choked. “And Kikwang’s.” He felt new tears forming.

Junhyung cupped Hyunseung’s face. “Kikwang? Is…is he okay?”

Hyunseung closed his eyes, fighting back the tears. “Barely.” He opened his eyes. “He wasn’t moving. He didn’t wake up.” The tears began to fall. “I thought he was dead.”

“But, he’s alive, right?”

Hyunseung nodded his head. “Yes.” He put his hands on Junhyung’s. “It was bad Jun. He’s in the hospital all beat to hell, Jiyoon died and they had to revive her, she’s still not awake.” The tears continued to fall. “The kid blew his uncle’s brains out and then ran, we don’t know where he is. Almost everyone needed stitches or broken bones fixed.” He shook his head, a small sob escaping. “We could have used more help Jun. You know I don’t get scared, but I was terrified tonight.”

Junhyung pulled Hyunseung into a hug, cradling his head while he cried. “It’s okay Seung. Everyone is alive. Everyone will be fine.” Junhyung held Hyunseung until he stopped crying and when he felt the other shiver he pulled away.

“You need to get out of these clothes.” He stated while wiping the tears from Hyunseung’s cheeks.

Hyunseung nodded his head in agreement. He kicked off his shoes, pulled his shirt off, and undid his pants. As he began to step out of his pants, new tears started to fall. He let out a soft cry as his jeans hit the ground and before he could cover his face with his hands he was pulled back into Junhyung’s arms.

Junhyung picked Hyunseung up and carried him to the bed. He settled the two of them under the blankets; the two of them on their sides facing each other, Hyunseung curled up into Junhyung’s chest, the latter placing a soft kiss atop Hyunseung’s head. He held Hyunseung tighter, feeling the other’s tears soak through his shirt. And just before Hyunseung cried himself to sleep, he sobbed out four words that would send Junhyung’s thoughts into overdrive.

“I hate this Junhyung.”

Junhyung began to rub Hyunseung’s arm when the other moved to snuggle closer. His thoughts drifted to those words I hate this Junhyung. He knew exactly what Hyunseung meant, he felt the same way, he was sure they all did. But what could they do about it? They couldn’t just stop doing what they did, what they were meant to do. If they did that then the sick bastards whom they kept under control would have the power to destroy countless lives and turn the city into a true living nightmare. So what could they do?

Junhyung sighed. There was nothing they could do to change things. The way he saw it their lives were destined to be this way and they would all have to continue to suffer through it. He felt a kiss being placed upon his neck and looked down at a puffy, sleepy- eyed Hyunseung. He removed his arm from behind his head and wrapped it around Hyunseung.

Hyunseung laid his head back down on Junhyung’s chest. “What were you sighing about?” When he didn’t receive an answer he crept his hand up Junhyung’s shirt and pinched his stomach.  “Well?”

“I was just thinking about what you said this morning before you fell asleep.”

Hyunseung’s hand was still under Junhyung’s shirt, caressing his stomach. “About how I hate this.”

“Yeah.”

Hyunseung put one of his legs over Junhyung’s. “And?”

“I was thinking about how I agree with you, but that…” He sighed.

Hyunseung pinched him again. “But what?”

“But there’s nothing we can do about it. We can’t just stop doing what we do and let the city fall to pieces and be overrun by monsters.”

“I know.”

Junhyung sighed again. “I just…I just don’t see a way to make things better.”

Hyunseung was silent for several moments. This was the conversation he had been waiting for. This was the perfect opportunity to bring up the idea of bringing the gangs together, of making them all one again.

Hyunseung began tracing small circles on Junhyung’s stomach. “After last night it’s become more apparent to me that we are becoming, well, weak. Weak in strength and in numbers. We’re lacking stability. For some reason we aren’t as strong in our convictions as we used to be.”

Junhyung began caressing Hyunseung’s back. “I agree. We need more men and we need to get our resolve back.”

Hyunseung’s voice was quiet when he spoke his next words. “There is a way Junhyung. There is a way to change things, a way to make things better.”

Junhyung’s hand paused. “How?”

Hyunseung took a deep breath. “By talking to Doojoon. If you two talk and work things out we can come together again, as one.”

There was a brief moment of silence, neither of them moved. Hyunseung was holding his breath, hoping that Junhyung’s silence meant that he was considering what was just said.
“That’s not going to happen Seung.” Junhyung felt Hyunseung tense beside him.

“And why is that?” Hyunseung wasn’t sure if he was more hurt or pissed.

“You know why.”

Hyunseung clenched his teeth. “No, Junhyung, I don’t.”

Junhyung tightened his grip on Hyunseung, he knew the other was upset and he didn’t want him to leave. “Please Hyunseung, let’s not talk about this.”

Now Hyunseung was pissed. In one quick movement he was straddling Junhyung, holding the others arms above his head.

“No Junhyung. Tell me why.” He squeezed his knees into Junhyung’s sides. “Why won’t you talk to him?”

Junhyung winced slightly at the pain from Hyunseung’s knees. “Because we’re not supposed to talk to each other. We hate each other. We’re enemies.” Junhyung wasn’t sure who he was trying to convince more, himself or Hyunseung.

Hyunseung glared. “That’s bull shit! Who said you’re enemies? Our fathers? Well fuck them!” He squeezed his knees harder. “You know you don’t hate each other. You’re only enemies because you were told to be, not because you wanted to! Talk to him Junhyung. Everyone knows that if we were to become one we would be stronger and better than we are now. We would be safer.” And happier. He rested his forehead against Junhyung’s. “Please Jun. Please talk to him.”

Junhyung closed his eyes. “No Seung. I won’t, I can’t, talk to him.”

Hyunseung squeezed his knees again. “Fuck you then.” He then rolled off of Junhyung and then off the bed. He began to hurriedly get dressed.

Junhyung sat up. “Please Hyunseung, don’t do this. You know I can’t talk to him. We’re not meant to be one group. Our futures were decided for us and our groups being separated is how it’s supposed to be.”

Hyunseung pulled his shirt on and looked at Junhyung, his eyes full of anger and sadness. “That’s bull shit Junhyung and you know it. You’re using the unnecessary hatred that you have for yourself to make stupid fucking excuses.” He shook his head. He didn’t want to say these things, he didn’t really want to leave, but he needed to make Junhyung see that he was wrong. He needed Junhyung to realize that he wasn’t as broken and as lost as he thought he was.

“You know, in that heart that you still have, that what I’m saying is right. You know that there is a chance to make things better, a chance for us all to be happy once again. You’re just letting your mind control things, when instead you should be listening to your heart and believing in what you know is right.”

Junhyung couldn’t look Hyunseung in the eye. “You’re wrong. I might have a heart, but it’s too dead and gone to listen to.”

Hyunseung closed his eyes, letting tears fall, his words coming out in a whisper. “I can’t help you Junhyung if you aren’t willing to listen to me, if you aren’t willing to trust me and believe in me.” He began heading for the door, but was stopped by a hand on his wrist. He didn’t turn around.

“Please Seung. I just…I can’t do it.” Junhyung was so confused by the emotions, ones he hadn’t felt in years, running through him that he wasn’t sure what to believe or what to do.

Hyunseung turned around. “Yes you can Jun.” He pulled Junhyung into a kiss that his anger and sadness controlled. When he pulled away more tears were falling. “You just aren’t willing to try.” And with that said he walked out the door, not stopping or turning around, even when he heard Junhyung’s screams and the breaking of furniture.
