Photography Update

I finally ordered a lens for the Nikon D40 I've had since July 2007.

It's a 50mm f/1.4 prime, perfect for portraits, low-light environments, or any situation where an artfully blurry background is desired. Check out the photos from Amazon customersI can't wait to play around with it, as I feel like I've reached the limits of the mediocre kit lens ( Read more... )

I AGREE that is awesome! So jealous! SO much easier than trying to get an image to look like that in Photoshop!

Oh, I am. I've been wanting one of these for some time.

It can capture up to eight times as much light as my kit lens, and the shallow depth of field will be perfect for those blurry EMO bathroom mirror self-portraits.
